Good morning! Today's question is:
Who chose your engagement ring? Did you have any input? If so, did you pick the exact ring or did you just give an idea of what you liked?
And...Did any of you do the proposing? Or consider it?

I chose my setting, FH chose the stone. He did an amazing job, it's perfect!
I didn't do the proposing (nor did I seriously consider it) but I will admit I was getting very antsy. I knew it was coming and just wanted it to happen already!

I chose the setting and the cut of the stone. FH went back to buy the setting n stone alone.

We went ring shopping many times but I was 100% surprised when he proposed. We were joking around and I set him up.
Never crossed my mind to propose and nothing I would ever have considered.

FH designed the ring with a jeweler himself and surprised me entirely! The only thing he knew was that I loved round diamonds. I would never even considered proposing - I wanted it to be traditional and loved every second of him asking me!

I had mentioned what i liked in passing. not expecting anything at least for another year.

I 'proposed' a few weeks later with a ring for FW but I'm so glad that I wasnt the first , as i couldnt even keep it a secret for 2 days (i caved and did it earlier than i wanted to) ... she kept her secret for 2 months!

We chose mine together. We had been talking about getting engaged and we were in the city so we went to Macy's to look.. FH works part time for Macy's and didn't want to get a ring there but I was like HEY! You get a discount! lol.. We looked and my ring was the first one I put on, it fit perfectly and was exactly what I wanted so he turned to the sales guy and said, Ok we'll take it! I was SHOCKED! But I love my ring and he knew that so he didn't want to miss the chance to get the ring I loved..

FH and I went to my family jeweler and designed the ring together. It took a couple months to find the right stone and have the ring made. I didn't see the final product until he proposed. I was so on edge for weeks because I didn't know when he was going to ask me. I remember going to see the Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center and freaking out the whole time bc I thought he was going to ask me hahaha.

I chose the setting, he chose the diamond. We went looking together and I tried one on that I absolutely loved. I sent him pictures of it all the time so I am pretty sure he got the hint that he would be buying that setting. I had no idea he went back to the jeweler to purchase it and pick a diamond. He completely surprsied me with the proposal!

FH chose my engagement ring. I would joke around and send him a picture of this 330K engagement ring that I would never have. He took FSIL to the jewler and she brought up my pinterst and FH created and designed a ring himself. IT was EXACTLY what I wanted too! I love my ring. He also surprised me with my proposal. I am so greatful for him!

We picked out the setting and the stone together. It was the first indication I had that FH would want to be involved in all the decisions! He definitely had an opinion on everything LOL I think FH wanted to do it on his own, but he was just too concerned about not making a mistake. It all turned out beautifully!

I showed him styled I liked, his response was I really don't care. If I'm proposing I'm picking it out myself!! And I had no idea!

My fiance' picked the ring out all by himself. I didn't even know he was looking!
I had said in passing through out the years that I didn't want anything too high, I'd totally scratch myself up with something in a higher setting haha.

The proposal was a surprise as well!

My fiance asked what kind of rings I liked and I sent him a picture of around 10 rings (all different styles & sizes). He picked his favorite one and I love it!

FH picked out the ring himself. He took a picture of an amethyst ring that I wear everyday (has a vintage feel to it) and brought it with him. He told the guy he wanted a white gold vintage style ring lol he knows me well.

It was a surprise when he proposed. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I picked out the setting and stone. I knew I was going to be wearing it forever so I wanted something I love. He tells everyone he picked it out himself, I let him lie. Haha

I told him that I loved emerald cut diamonds and that I wanted a thin diamond band...cause I have little kid hands..I didn't want a thick band at all

My fiance asked me what I liked and actually went on some websites with me. He had his cousin custom make my ring based on what I liked

I might have emailed him pics of rings I wanted almost every single day :) but he picked out my ring and I adore it!!
