So I was perusing the NW board and a topic there is what inspired me to ask this question!

Do you and FI plan to have kids? How many? How soon after you are married will you start trying for a baby?

Well FH already has a daughter (she'll be 7 when we get married)...so my original answer would have been that I wanted a couple of years with just FH and I before we tried for a baby...but that's out the window now.

I think we will wait until I am close to finished or completely finished with my masters before we start TTC (Trying To Conceive). It will be an adjustment to being a little family so we'll take a couple years to do that as well...and I'd like to be somewhat financially secure. Ideally I always thought I'd have all my babies between 28 and 32 and I feel like we're still on track for that.

I'd like to have at least 2 more kids...I definitely want a little boy to be my Mama's Boy!!

my fh and i already have 2 but i always wanted 4 but i dont know about that anymore

FH and I arent planning to have kids. He has two from a previous relationship and they both live with us. At this time, we have our hands full with two. I actually never had a strong desire to have kids...so becoming an instant family was a bit of a challenge for me in the beginning. But after a few months things fell into place and are going great. But to give the kids as much attention as we do now etc, I dont think we could handle any more!

We aren't going to be having kids for awhile. I want to have 3 and adopt 1 (at least), but I want to wait until I'm 29/30 to start. FH & I will both be 24 (well depending, he may JUST be turning 25) when we get married so several years at least.

Yes and once we get married the sooner the better. I turn 29 the month after I get married and I always wanted to have my first baby before 30. FH wants 4 and I just want 2 or 3. Whatever we get will be a blessing.

No Kids for us. When we get married I will be almost 47 and not going to have any children at my age. Besides being a huge risk, I dont want to have teenagers when I am ready to retire.

i always said i wanted 4 and asap. But now, i am not so sure! I absolutely want to travel first! I also want to be at a place in my career where i can be home for them after school and what not. So we shall see;no set planS as of yet!

Yes we plan to have kids. I honestly don't know how many we go back and forth. I might only want one to be totally honest, but then I feel bad for him/her not having a lifelong friend in a sibling. I know we are going to wait atleast 3-4 years before we even being trying. We want some 'alone' time first to just be with eachother and travel, become financial secure then work on having babies....

Who know's though I will be 28 when I get married maybe my clock will start ticking fast than I expect and it will be sooner??

I def want a whole bunch of kids lol...i come from a pretty big family i am one of five children and my nephew is at my house everyyyday so its more like im one of six....i think havin a big family is great and there is nothing more anyone could ask for....being able to relate to one of my sisters or my brother in diff ways is great bc there is always someone around to talk to or relate to...i def want at least 4 and FH tells me all the time that i am out of my mind and im crazy if i think we are havin that many lol but if i had it my way i would have at least 4 and i always wanted to adopt one so 5 all together!

Okay so I think this is a great question to make my official return back because I loveee kids haha. Things have slowed down a lot for me at work, now that it's just the higher ranks reviewing everything before the returns get sent out. So this week was pretty relaxing for the most part and I'm ready to post on the QOTD lol. Okay sorry back to my answer.....

I am pretty much obsessed with kids lol. I actually tear up when I see an infant lolol. I babysit still and absolutely adore the three kids that I watch. They will be in our wedding and I know it's just going to make the day even more special. Sooo, like a few others who have posted we would like to wait a few years before we try. We will both just be turning 25 when we get married. The goal for me is to become manager at work (which should be around 27), save up enough money and hopefully have fh at a place at his job where just in case if I could stay home we would be able to live on his salary alone. Personally I would have 4-5 kids buttt his silly yet I guess true rationality is it's not practical....not many cars fit that many people lol. I tell him we are not deciding how many children we have based on a CAR!!! lol So we shall see but yes def kids in the future, I'd prob try for the 4th if we haven't gotten a girl yet but then maybe stop there either way. Healthy babies though all you can wish for .

Okay sorry that was really long this question excites me and I'm excited to officially post again, time to get to 1000 lol!!

We want kids...He wants two of our own, I want two kids, one ours and one adopted...He doesnt mind adopting children, he knows how important it is for me to come full circle like that, so he is very supportive of me wanting to adopt

yes, we want to have kids. we always say we would like to have as many as we can afford. i would really like 4. and we plan to start sometime soon after the wedding! im getting the itch already!!!!

We def. want kids. We're undecided about the amount. I would love to have 4, he wants 1 or 2.
I dont know how long we'll wait though...I guess we'll see what's going on at the time.

we def want kids...2 or 3 (probably just 2)....but don't want to start until a few years after we get married...we want to have time together to travel and enjoy being married as well as time to save $$ and buy a house, etc

We both want 2 kids and hopefully a boy and a girl (but, as long as they are healthy we are happy!). We will probably start trying about a year after we get married, as I will be 31 when we get married.
