Yikes!!! I almost went to bed without posting, that was a close one!
Since its been a big part of the thought process of planning my wedding, I decided to ask a little about religion today. Are you and FH the same religion? Will you be having a religious ceremony? If you're not the same religion will you have an interfaith wedding or a secular wedding? Are you getting married by a Priest or Rabbi or JD or some combination of the above?
FH is Christian (raised Presbyterian but is unaffiliated atm) and I am Jewish. We are both religious people so we'll be having some sort of interfaith ceremony, although since its so early on we're not sure exactly what it will entail. I'd still liked to get married by a Rabbi but I guess we may get married by both?? Hehe we're not really sure...just definitely not by a JD...we're both religious and we want G-d at our wedding.

we are both catholic but we are not religous and due to the fact our wedding is on a sunday morning we can't get married at a church. We will have our ceremony at the RH BUT like I said if we were very religous we would have made sure to pick a diff day.

Wow! Lots of Catholics on here. I was raised Catholic, but converted to Buddhism ten years ago. FH is not religious. We will be getting married at the RH (hopefully outside) by a non-denominational minister. We hope to incorporate different aspects from our culture rather than religion.

Funny you asked this.
I just wrote a rant about religion.
FH is becomming Catholic tonight. I was raised Catholic, but I am shopping for a new one- probably Unitarian Universalism.

I'm jewish and he is catholic. We are going to have an interfaith wedding with both a rabbi and probably a deacon. Ceremony at the RH but we haven't decided which elements to include in the ceremony. (I know which jewish customs I want to include, I am waiting for FH to give me the catholic one he wants). Our children will be raised jewish. -- Had to figure that one out a year ago way before we got engaged.
