Happy Hump Day!
Remember - today is income tax day. If you havent sent in your taxes, todays the day!!!

Which brings me to todays question.
When you and FH get married will you continue to file seperately or will you file jointly?

We want to file jointly but we each like our own taxes preparers and neither of us want to give in on that. So I guess it will be seperate for us.

Jointly...from what I remeber from Tax class it is better to file jointly

so funnie this was the QOTD...i just asked him this, this morning! Jointly....i would like to keep with our family accountant...so we will see...i do not think fh is attached to his??? things to discuss though!!

I usually do my own taxes. But, after we're married, I'm sure we'll file jointly and use a professional.

thats good to know one of FH work buddies told him we get more back if we file separately i hate it when he takes there marriage advice lol

My uncle does my taxes...so I'll let him decide whichever situation is most advantageous for us.

Im assuming jointy, Ive heard that unless one makes a substantial amount more then the other, filing jointly is more beneficial...we arent that much apart in terms of salary

I had him change over to my guy...so we're going to ask him to figure out what makes more sense...anything for a bigger return.

I believe we will be filing jointly. FH is an accountant and has already mentioned the benefit this will be for us.

We're gonna have our accountant see which way benefits us more next year.
He said depending on the financial situation sometimes we will get more money back by filing joint and sometimes separate.
