Happy Hump Day! Remember - today is income tax day. If you havent sent in your taxes, todays the day!!!
Which brings me to todays question. When you and FH get married will you continue to file seperately or will you file jointly?
We want to file jointly but we each like our own taxes preparers and neither of us want to give in on that. So I guess it will be seperate for us.

We'll probably file jointly. He and I both use H&R Block online, so we have no attachments

definitely jointly.....i'm an accountant and depending on the situation, there are no real benefits to filing separately, if anything you get less money back..just an fyi

I don't know yet. For some reason my parents get screwed every year filing jointly so we'll see I think we will ask next year what the best option is.

I really want to go somewhere after we get married to have our taxes done (normally Shawn does our taxes...) and I will see what they say. Whichever way gets us a greater refund is the way we will file!!

FH & I use the same accountant so that is not an issue. we will file jointly once we are married.

Jointly - and I will probably switch to his accountant from my family's accountant. We were actually just talking about this last night lol

Jointly. FH is self employed, therefore, what I get back, will just go towards his state tax.

Jointly. And FH is in charge. I want nothing to do with the bills or money. Its bad enough I get yelled at now.

Not sure, we have to look into it. But we might keep it seperate because FH has his landscaping business that he has to file for also and I don't want my stuff to get involved in that

FH is the accountant. I'll let him make that decision. I just want whichever way will give me more money back.
