Good Morning everyone. We all know that we all love our FH's but for any of us who live with our FH's there are sometimes things that drive us crazy with their quirks. I'm sure they feel the same about some of the things we do lol. I have to ask what's your FH'S quirk?
This question was stemmed from my morning. My FH has this thing with water bottles. I don't know what it is but he takes one out of the fridge 'even though we have a brand new fridge with a built in water dispenser'. Anyway he takes these water bottles out drinks a few sips goes on his way with the water bottle and leave it wherever he goes. Than 2 hours later instead of getting the water bottle that he just had out he grabs a new one result... lots and lots of water bottles everywhere!!!! I love him to death but it drives me crazy. It's one of those things you accept bc its not worth the argument but it makes me chuckle sometimes. I guess bc I just don't understand the logic he's not a messy person lol so what's yours?

Great question! My FH Is a police officer and I am a teacher so we kinda work opposite hours. He leaves for work around 1pm and every day when I get home from work and head into the bathroom his shower towel is just laying on the floor. IT DRIVES ME NUTS!!! I have tried not picking it up out of protest but he doesn't get home until 1:30am so I am just forced to stare at it all night and that drives me even more crazy. We have discussed it and he has gotten a little better about it but still those days I find it I still find myself getting all worked up lol.

hahahahah I've totally tried to do that with the water bottles just leave it out of protest than I would get so frustrated I'd pick them up..I swear those commercials they show of the water bottles wrapping around the earth I feel like we contribute to 1/4th of its way around the earth. terrible.

I find his stuff everywhere. When I get home from work, he left his clothes in the bathroom. Or I'll find soda cans on the coffee table, on the kitchen table, ON THE FLOOR NEXT TO HIS NIGHTSTAND?!?! W.t.f., dude?! But the number one pet peeve is his shoes are always, and I mean ALWAYS, right NEXT to the closet door. Like, what would it have taken to get them IN the closet???

I feel your pain!! FH leaves half empty drinks allll over the place, I find bottles all over the car, in the living room, bedroom, everywhere! But what bothers me the most,is he never closes anything he opens. Drawers, closets, cabinets, fridge, door. I call myself the cabinet fairy as I mumble to myself and go around slamming stuff shut. lol
FH always leaves the blow dryer on a shelf above our toilet and i can't tell you how many times it's either fallen in and needed to be replaced or come very close to it. I BEG him to please just put it in a cabinet if he's going to use it but to no avail. Drives me CRAZY! Other than that, he's kind of a neat freak so he makes a good roommate lol

I am guilty of doing that but not on purpose! Usually I can't find where I left it and then a day later I will. So bad. I don't do it often but enough that I've noticed I gotta stop!
He has his quirks. One that stands out is that he buys DVDs and doesn't open them for a few years. He has a massive DVD collection, needless to say. Or when he buys a shirt, he will save it for a certain occasion. Even if that event is many months away! I'm not talking about a fancy outfit, just a t-shirt. He has two shirts he's saving for the honeymoon at the end of October that he bought many months ago! I get a huge kick out of it. He has a mind boggling amount of t-shirts. Not sure if anyone would believe me if I said the number!

Recently the thing that has been getting on my nerves the most is his clothing is literally everywhere! It doesn't matter how many times I put stuff on his side of the room or fold it and put it on his dresser it always ends up everywhere!

We only started living together after the wedding, but the things that annoy me are things that I knew would get to me before me moved in together. He drinks a lot of soda and leaves the cans around - he cleans them up more often than not, but if he falls asleep watching TV, sometimes he leaves them out and I'm OCD with cleanliness...especially since we live in an apartment building it drives me nuts because I'm scared of bugs
The only other thing that annoys me is that I think he's under the impression that we live in a college dorm. He can't understand why in the world he can't use three of the shelves in our fridge for beer or why we need groceries. I'm thinking of buying him a mini fridge just to keep them separate However, the good things far outweigh the bad and I definitely consider myself lucky

this is to funny... I agree although the water bottles kill me and my OCD of cleaning. I really have a good man who is at home prepping dinner as we speak just funny how they are with some things lol

One thing that drives me crazy is he leaves garbage in MY car! He'll bring snacks in the car like we're going for a road trip instead of just up the block and leave all the wrappers! You don't need snacks for the car ride like your a toddler.
The most annoying thing but it's hard to explain is that he moves at the speed of a snail. I'm always saying something about it. I'm a fast walker so no matter where we go I have to stop and wait for him. If I ask him to do something while I'm doing something else, I'll most likely be able to finish all my task before he even started and then I get mad and do it myself. I don't let him drive us anywhere because of this haha I'm always in charge.

OMG LOL I was just talking to one of my bridesmaids about this very same issue with the water bottles EVERYWHERE!!! They are in the bedroom, livingroom, office, HAHA and he never finishes a bottle. At least I am comforted to know I have some company in this

QOTD 4/2
We have. Hamper that is built into the bathroom wall. Every morning I have to pick his clothes up from the floor right in front of it. If you can drop them on the floor you can out them in the hamper ugh.

Re: QOTD 4/2
My FW’s quirk is food. She is really picky. I have never worried so much about food in my life. Every day is an existential crisis of trying to figure out what she feels like eating for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I really couldn’t care less. Give me cereal, a sandwich and whatever for dinner, and I’m good to go. I’ve never eaten so much fast food in my life since I met FW; but she is so picky it’s hard to buy groceries because she won’t really eat what we have and go out anyway. I always tell her if Aliens were eavesdropping on us, they would think we really love this meal called “I don’t know”. Because when I ask what she wants to eat the answer is always “I don’t know”. LOL

You girls crack me up! I think I probably annoy my FH with my quirks more than he annoys me. I have serious OCD issues. I do get annoyed with him in the kitchen. He doesn't clean up messes on the stove and always leaves dirty dishes in the sink. We don't have a dishwasher so as the dishes pile up in the sink, the harder it is for me to wash them all! Our apartment is small so he hates when I wash the dishes while he sleeps because it makes too much noise. ( we have the opposite sleeping schedule problem too because he works in a hospital.) My OCD goes wild every time I pass the sink full of dirty dishes!

Re: QOTD 4/2
ok that awkward moment when i read this thread and im that person with a million have full water bottles!!! i have two next to me as i type lol my fh thinks im nuts for not refilling them but ive gotten better lately
i cant really think of anything besides him forgetting to dump stuff out of that food catcher in the drain if he does dishes. although when he first started living with me he always left the seat up (drive me nuts) so i would always call him to the bathroom and when he came i would just point. now he doesnt forget anymore lol problem solved
