FH and I spoke about this a few weeks ago. This is how the convo went:
Me: Did you know that *husband of a friend* doesn't wear a wedding band? FH: Really? I don't really want to either, but I didn't think that was allowed. Me: It's not. You should probably start looking at bands online so you know what type you want.
I don't care the reason he has, we will both be wearing rings. It has nothing to do with trust, he is the most trustworthy man I know. And to be honest, a lot of women are attracted to men wearing wedding bands. It has to do with the symbol of our marriage. I'd never heard of someone not wearing a band until the Real Housewives of New York this past season. It's just not something I'm willing to live with.

Not 100% sure how I feel about it, but FH wants to wear his ring and he is quite excited about it, so that makes me extremely happy! He's a teacher so there is no reason to take it off and I doubt he will. I cant wait :)
Mine too, he's so excited- probably more than me
Same here! Honestly before this question I never even really thought about this. Both of my parents always wore their wedding bands so I just thought it was the norm.

My parents have been married for almost 32 years and my father has never worn a wedding band. My dad's an engineer and when they first got married he worked with machinery of some sort and therefore couldn't wear one. He's been off the machinery for years, but had become accustomed to not wearing one. My mom doesn't seem to care, she jokes that if someone tried to take him, they'd send him right back. I don't know how I'd feel if FH didn't want to wear one- since he works in an office I'd question it, but if he was a cop or worked with his hands I would encourage him NOT to.

FH says it will take some getting used to, since he doesn't wear rings, but he has no intentions of taking it off. That makes me quite happy :)

FH works a lot with his hands too! but he can't wait to wear his ring :) I don't think it would bother me too much if he didn't to work because I kind of don't know if it's safe for him or he may get annoyed wearing it to work but either way it's fine with me

My fiance is an electrician...and it would be unsafe for him to wear at work. he wants to wear it on a chain around his neck though at work. I don't like the idea very much but I want him to be safe...

I work with my hands on a daily basis and in fact most women I know wear 'fake' rings to work since it can get so beat up... But I wear my engagement ring and I will wear my band.
And FH works with his hands too- sanitation and landscaping- but whenever we have talked about rings he has never said he wouldn't be wearing his.
I guess if I wear mine he should wear his.. Even though he's n ever worn jewelry in his life!
