Hi everyone! I'm excited to be the new BOTW! Hopefully I remember to post everyday haha(sorry in advanced if I don't!)

My question today is about your guest list. Originally we thought we wouldn't have that big of a list, but it just keeps growing! We just feel like we have to invite everyone in the family and give plus ones to each guest that's over 18. Are you giving everyone a 'plus one?' Where do you draw the line? Also, is anyone inviting co-workers? Do you invite EVERYone you work with or just the people you are close with? Tough decisions!!

I was going to invite the whole office I work with but then I thought about it.. I really don't like everyone so im not lol . we are doing a plus one unless we know they are coming as a family so we are inviting them as MR.. and family

We are inviting all those that are of college aged with a guest. It was hard to draw the line because we both have younger cousins that are dating. As far as co-workers, I wont be back next year so I am only inviting the one that I became very close with, if I was staying another school year I would have invited my team of 3 and their significant others.

This was a big issue when planning but we finally came to an agreement. We kinda felt FMIL was inviting a lot more family to over compensate for the lack of mine (my father is the only family on my side attending) FH and I came into agreement with a fair number for all parties that way we all have an equal amount in attendance. Adult event so no children are allowed, no plus ones and as far as co-workers goes only those that we are close with (if we hang out outside of work they are getting an invite)

When I came up with a guest list I had put all college age people and older with guest. I know a lot of them will not bring a guest but it is still nice to offer it to them, ESP the adults. I know when my mom got invited to my cousins wedding she was not invited with a guest and felt a little upset about it bc she feels as an adult she should be invited with one. My brother was also invited without one and could honestly care less.

Lucky for me most of my family live on the west coast and they probably won't be able to make. I don't feel bad because for the exception of 2 of my cousins no one called to congratulate me on my engagement when my mom told them. My FH has a huge family and we have a lot of friends so our list is a decent size. The problem I'm having with the plus ones is that we're inviting his 3rd cousins to the wedding and all 8 have SO that have been together awhile and some living with them that we have never met. Their SO never come for holidays or family functions but I guess we're obligated to invite them because they're in a long term relationship. It's just frustrating that we have to cut out some friends and coworkers we interact with on a regular basis for these unknown significant others.

We are only giving plus ones to friends/family who are in relationships or if they are a person who will not know other people at the wedding.

This is what we are doing as well. If they have been together for an extended amount of time, married, or engaged, they get a plus one.

As to co-workers, just invite the ones you are close with. There is no need to have someone you only wave hi to in passing at your wedding. They'll understand.

We are inviting plus ones for those in serious committed relationships or engaged. I can't afford to feed filet minion to FH's cousin's skank of the week :) we'll only be inviting coworkers we know. I don't work with any coworkers (nanny) and FH has a few he's close with but that's it. I will be inviting my bosses though.

We are giving plus ones to pretty much everyone expect FH's cousin's two kids who will be 16 and 17 at the time of the wedding. Don't want some random teenagers at my wedding. My 4 male cousins will all get a plus 1 but only one will probably have a date. All of our friends will get a plus 1 but I'm sure a few won't bring anyone. As far as coworkers, I think I'm only inviting two that I work with now because they are like the 'moms' of the group and took me under their wing my first year in that school. I'm also inviting two old coworkers from my first school.

For the most part we are going to do plus guest. I think we are going to invite the co workers that we are close with.

My co workers will all sit at the same table and all get along so I don't think they will all get a guest. But I'm not sure... I also have a guest list of 240 and counting, both FH and I have huge families.

My FH thinks that we should invite plus one, I think if they are in long term relationship only

Ugh. My FI and I are planning on having a small wedding (under 100 guests) but it's soooo hard because we have so many loved ones that we would love to come. It's just that financially, we are in no way able to pay for a wedding any bigger than that. So these plus ones are reaaaally killing me. We haven't physically made our list yet but I'm about to start now. I have a feeling it'll be something like 40-50 of the ppl we actually love, know, and want to come, while the others are merely plus ones =/ Ugh. Help!
