Does you wedding date have any significant? Was there a reason you chose your date?

We are getting married June 23rd, though the month doesn't have any significance, we chose the 23rd. We started dating on the 23rd of Sept, so we knew we wanted to get married on the 23rd of some month. We were supposed to get engaged on October 23 2010, but that didn't happen, so FH bumped it up by one weekend. We always wanted to get married in the summer as well, and being that the 23rd of July is my brothers wedding anni, we wouldn't do that to them and then August 23rd, was getting a little late in the summer, and with my luck we'd have a hurricane or something. So we chose June 23rd and couldn't be happier!

I had just started a new job and they asked me to request off. My union makes sure we get two weeks off a year once we get approved. They asked me in September We had been engaged over a year with no date set. I requested aug 31 to september 14th as my first choice and got approved. So I said guess thats when we are getting married! I like summer personally but don't and hope its not too hot. Fiance was happy we set a date. We were looking for 2013 because of finances but we are making it work!

it was simple.... it was AVAILABLE lol
we wanted to get married in April, and there was Passover and Easter that was involved as well. so when we were looking and pricing we went w what was available

Same here Pam!! haha.... We were originally thinking May, but since the last weekend in April was $10 cheaper per plate, there was nothing to think about!

We went in and said, what dates are available that have the best rates? Voila...they needed to fill June 30, 2012, and we agreed we could work quickly to put this wedding together and the rest is history. My mom is thrilled that I will be a June bride but I honestly could not have cared less!

Our date was based on availability. When we both decided that WM was the place we wanted to get married at, we asked them what dates were available. And we chose May because we thought the weather would be perfect!

We went in not having a specific date in mine...but.November 3rd was one of the dates, and the 3rd I guess is special to us...we started dating officially August 3rd and then got engaged a year later on August 3rd

We definitely had a date in mind. FH and I are total nerds... I'm a math geek and numbers are so important to me. So when we got engaged we started looking at dates with good numbers... Looking through August of 2012, one of the friday dates was 8.10.12, consecutive even numbers starting with my lucky number 8... I was sold! Haha! The rest is history.
Its definitely not one of those dates like 11.11.11 (which his family was really pushing for) that everyone recognizes off the bat, but FH and I love it and thats all that matters!!
ANNNNNDDD hopefully, choosing a date with good numbers will help FH remember it every once and a while

Ours doesn't. We knew we wanted a late summer wedding and to have at least a year to be engaged. Any Sept date would have been great and the 7th stood out to us when we heard it was available.

I choose my date of 09/02 because the following day is Labor Day and the majority people are off from work...

Pretty much the same with us lol. Bc June is the next weekend and everything was more expensive. We got engaged in October and orignally I wanted a fall wedding bc I LOVE the fall. But I didnt wanna wait a year. We had been dating for 6 years, I didnt need another year to be engaged! lol
So we went with Memorial Day weekend, which worked out too, bc we have a lot of family coming from OOT and now they will be here a couple days longer!

FH wanted the fall I wanted the summer so we compromised and pick the first weekend in September but that was Labor Day Weekend so we choose the weekend after

i didnt want a summer, winter or fall wedding. I didnt want a may wedding because my birthday is in may. so we chose april and the last weekend day in april so we can get some semi-warm weather :)
