Question: How long is your engagement going to be? If it is a really short/really long engagement, is there a reason why you rushed it/put it off for awhile?
My Answer: We will be engaged for 1 1/2 years at the time of our wedding. We got engaged in November, and I wanted either a May or September wedding. But because I am a teacher, we decided on a May wedding because I didn't want to have to take off days for the wedding/honeymoon in September at the beginning of the school year. Soo, it was either May 2013 or May 2014, and if we picked this May it would have only been a 6 month engagement which was too short of an engagement to get everything done!

we got engaged 4/1/12, and will be getting married 4/25/14 so our engagement is 2 years and 24 days lol.. we wanted a long engagement to save money and have our first pick of vendors

We will be engaged for 22 months total. We knew we wanted a fall wedding and FH was about to b captain of the fire dept and he said he didn't want to get married while he was captain because it would be too much (you're captain for one year). So he will no longer be captain as of next April and were getting married 6 months after that (to have our fall wedding). I love being engaged and I love having so much time to plan and save!

We will be engaged for 21 months and 4 days. We originally considered October 2013, but knew it wouldn't be enough time to save so we agreed on March 2014 instead. I've always wanted either a fall or Spring wedding but they are more expensive so we decided on having it off peak season to save a little.

We will be engaged exactly 20 months! I got engaged on 11/18/12 my wedding is on 7/18/14. Longer than I would have liked but I am a guidance counselor in a school, i have summers off and figured it'd be awesome to have 3 weeks off for last minute things (and a tan) and then honey moon after!

We will be engaged for 24 months and 12 days! I've always wanted to get married in October and I felt that this October would have been too soon. Also one of my best friends is getting married this September and I thought this October would be to close to her wedding. I'm fine with October of 2014 because it gives me more time to plan!
