Question: How long is your engagement going to be? If it is a really short/really long engagement, is there a reason why you rushed it/put it off for awhile?
My Answer: We will be engaged for 1 1/2 years at the time of our wedding. We got engaged in November, and I wanted either a May or September wedding. But because I am a teacher, we decided on a May wedding because I didn't want to have to take off days for the wedding/honeymoon in September at the beginning of the school year. Soo, it was either May 2013 or May 2014, and if we picked this May it would have only been a 6 month engagement which was too short of an engagement to get everything done!

Our Engagement will be pretty long, 20 Months! We got engaged November 2012 too, and we basically picked how long to wait based on budget! lol We knew it would take x amount of months to save up enough, so we knew 2013 was out of the question. We originally were thinking April 2014, but FH got 4th of July stuck in his head, and once we found a great price we were both sold! lol I'm glad it's a longer engagement, because although it seems soooooo far away now, I think I'd be so stressed if it was sooner.

Our engagement will be 15 months long. We got engaged in October and I reallyyyy wanted a fall wedding but I hadn't anticipated the prices being so high. Factoring in other variables into the equation (my family is huge) made us realize that we could only afford a bigger wedding in the winter months. In hindsight, I suppose we could have waited until the fall of 2014, but I just didn't want to wait that long.

Our engagement will be 20 months. We wanted a fall wedding but finacially that wasn't going ti happen this fall so next fall it was. If we could afford it we'd be getting married this october.

Our engagement will be exactly a year! I wanted a spring wedding, but March's price was the best for our venue. We were actually open to getting married at the end of the year too but it was more expensive. We feel a year is good for us for we want to start a family right after the wedding!

Our engagement will be 20 months -- we got engaged late January and FH wanted a fall wedding (I didn't really care, lol), so it was either an 8 month engagement or 1 year and 8 months. I thought that having an 8 month engagement would be too short and that we may have had to settle on vendors and other details due to things being booked already. It seems like such a long time and I am feeling a little regretful for choosing to have a longer engagement but looking back I think it was the right decision because I cant imagine having my shower and other events already happening this summer.

We got engaged 2/14/12 and we'll be married 1/4/14...so almost 2 years. We didn't want to get married in 2013 so we grabbed the first weekend of 2014.

We got engaged 10/12/12 and are getting married 6/20/14. We will be engaged 20 months when we get married. I really wanted a shorter engagement but I also wanted a summer wedding. That being said I could have never planned a wedding in 8-10 months without losing my mind so we had to go into 2014. Ideally I would have liked 18 months max but not a big deal.

We got engaged 12/24/12 and will be getting married 7/19/14... about 19 months. We are both teachers so we decided on a summer wedding... we thought waiting till 2015 would be best for the budget, but honestly didn't want to wait that long. We knew it couldn't happen in 6 months so that's how we landed in July 2014.

Ours will be around 15 months. We originally were going to do a fall wedding but we wanted sunlight longer after picking our venue so we went with early June. It feels like the perfect amunt of time!

We will be engaged for about 2.5 years. LONG, I know. But I'm still in school and we didn't want to get married until I was all done. It's been perfect though because we are able to enjoy being engaged, not rush through the planning, and save up for a house all at the same time.

We will be engaged for 2.5 yrs as well. We got engaged last May and we are getting married next October. I didn't want to be stressed and we needed all the time we could to save and We wanted a fall wedding. This year was still cutting it way to close for us to come up with the money in time.

Our engagement is technically 14 months long, but I'm counting it as a year since the first two months we did nothing wedding related. When we started planning in the beginning of this year, we knew we wanted to get married ASAP within reason of our budget. We ended up picking January b/c the prices were insanely low for what we're getting.

Our engagement will be around 15 months. We got engaged 1/30/13 and we are getting married on 6/20/14 since we wanted a summer wedding
Our engagement will be almost 27 months! I wanted to get married in a different year than my brother and we wanted plenty of time to save and have all of our first choice vendors.

Our engagement will be 8 days shy of 23 months. Originally we wanted May of 2014 but we couldn't get the date, then we thought March 2014 but I freaked out it was to soon financially for us and the bridal party. So we wound up with a 11/15/14. We say now that it is a good idea that we went for November. More time to save and do it comfortably.

I got engaged 12-21-12 and te wedding is 6-28-14 so 18 months Me and te fh had lived together for 2 years and then due to his job he had to move back to Canada. We thought it was one thig that we lived apart while engaged but another if we were married so we are waiting for my immigration paperwork and plus I always wanted a summer wedding
Our engagement will be exactly 2 years to the date :)

Our engagement will be 17 months, we just felt that the timing was appropriate for us (we had talked about getting married in August 2014 even before we got engaged, because it would fit our budget and our schedules perfectly).

We got engaged 5/26/12 & are getting married 1/18/14 so it is just shy of 20 months. We wanted a winter wedding and trying to plan in that little of a time frame was too stressful so we decided to do 2014. Plus I am not a fan of odd numbers lol
