Hi Ladies! So today's question is all about you!! Are there any cultural traditions you will be incorporating into your ceremony or reception? Are there any DIY projects? How will you make your wedding personal?

FH and I are from completely different cultures. I'm Dominican(Hispanic) and FH is Italian/ Ukrainian. Needless to say, there will be pasta sered at your wedding but our wedding cake will be a traditional Dominican 'bizcocho' cake. Which is a super sweet cake, mostly because the frosting is merengue and a fruit filling. I'm a HUGE cake person so I knew I wanted this to be what I shared with our guests.

As for DIY projects, cry packs have been started and i also started candles to place around the cocktail hour tables..found the ideas on Pinterest and some tips from LIW brides:)

Our table numbers will be places we've been or names of things that have meaning to us. For example we will have a number 8 table for the amount of years we were friends before we started dating and a citifield table for our first date.

Have a great day girls! Look forward to reading your responses!!

I am jewish and my FH is Christian but we are not incorporating any religious aspects. We are doing things in honor of his mom that passed two years ago.We are doing favors to American cancer society as well as a memory candle.
I love your table ideas!!

FH is Jewish and I'm Catholic. We are doing the candle ceremony as well as the breaking of the glass. In regards of our DIY projects, we will be doing our own invitations as well as our own favors. Our table numbers are going to be pictures of places that have special meaning to us leading up to our wedding. From our first date to our engagement to where we will be going for our honeymoon. I also found on etsy an advice box for our guests. Curious to hear their words of wisdom.

My FH and I are both Roman Catholic, but we aren't marrying in a church. It's just not feasible for us and we haven't found a church yet. We plan to have elements of RC in the ceremony though (prayer etc.)

As for DIY, what I plan to do is make my own centerpieces. I will have to see what kind of flowers the place we have our wedding will be providing us, so I'm not sure yet. I may also make my card box. I'm into DIY.

I also plan to set up my table cards similar to this. I'm into the whole rustic shabby chic thing. We'll see how that theme turns out when it's indoors though:

/okellies those tags are cute, you can incorporate that in an indoor wedding... Are you having mason jars on the tables?

I might, possibly have them incorporated in my centerpiece or just as decorative touches. My FH laughs at how rustic obsessed I am.
