I'm just gonna jump in here, lol. These last few weeks have been guest list guest list guest list. My MOH wants the shower list, so I have to decide the wedding guest list, and so on. And looking at the list, I cringe every time I see a name from FH's mother's side. Her and I have a history, long story short, we don't like each other. I'm secretly hoping that no one on her side comes or the invitations get 'lost in the mail.'
So, who are you obligated to invite that you hope doesn't come?

Lol,I can sympathize with you a bit in this department. I supposed in-laws that you don't get along with; friends of parents/family members (who you don't know well or socialize with).

I can't stand one of my cousins! I really don't want to send her an invite but I know it'll cause some unwanted family drama. Instead I'm sending her one without a plus one and hoping she doesn't come since she's not that close to my side of the family.

I have a few cousins on my dad's side that I am hoping don't come. They are my aunt's children, and although I love my aunt dearly, her kids annoy the crap out of me! They all live in Florida, so I have a good shot of them not making the trek...fingers crossed lol
In general I am hoping a decent amount of people can't make it, the guest list ended up being a whole lot bigger than I was planning for.

We definitely had to invite some people (cousins with behavioral issues) that I'd rather not attend our wedding. But, since we sent out our invitations I accepted it and moved on. I have been stressed out with other wedding stuff lately so I've just tried to let some of that stuff go.

Crashing! I'd prefer not to invite 4 of FH's 20+ cousins. They're all alcoholics with mommy issues and the oldest one actually got wasted at his own engagement party (infront of 200 guests-she was a southern debutant socialite) and called her a b*+ch along with a few other names making a huge scene and her father called off the wedding. The whole family was so mortified. Nightmare.

I'm pretty much hoping at least half of the 54 people my MIL is insistent on inviting don't come, but I doubt I'll get that lucky. The mere fact that my inlaws couldn't be respectful of the fact that we are having a small wedding and ended up inviting more than my side alone makes my blood boil. I even begged my parents to invite more people to even the playing field because I feel like I'm going to be a guest at my own wedding! I've never met more than half of the family and friends she had to invite. And FH doesn't even know the friends his parents said are a MUST! So annoying!

I hope a few of the relatives on FH side as well as some out of town guest don't come. I want to be able to extend the invite to a few additional people.
I also have been having to do guest list and shower list this week and there's a few people that I'm between a list and b list for. I go back and forth daily, where FH is like just put them on B list if youre not sure but I just feel bad like they are going to find out if I put them on b list.

I know that feeling with the A and B list. I actually just threw everyone on the A list and said a Hail Mary that FH's moms family doesn't come. The kind of jerks that they are though, they won't RSVP either.

I feel like its always those people that you don't want to come that don't RSVP too. Thankfully FMIL capped her list after the initial drama and just said here are eight of my friends who I want to invite but understand if you can't. I'm going to go slightly over my 150 but not too too much ...you never really know who will travel for your day and who won't
