I wouldn't change a thing about it. I would have negotiated better, but that's it. FH doesn't like to do that kind of thing and I did what I could without it bothering him too much, but if I had to do it again, I'd negotiate much harder!

Re: QOTD
It depends on my mood. a part of me would have eloped with just me and FH, taken the money and bought a house and the other part of me would have done almost everything the same except negotiated more and tried on more dresses

Re: QOTD
I would not change what I am doing at all. I think that I would have started to save for the wedding right after the engagement... not till we really started booking things. But that is it. I love what we are creating.. the money towards it is causing me a bit of stress now though, so we are working on that.

Re: QOTD
i didn't want this whole big wedding to begin with. i wanted to take close family and friends to an island and get married there. but i got vetoed and proceeded to dive thousands of dollars in debt.
i would most definitely not let my family have the final say and we would be on an island getting married.

Re: QOTD
I would do it ALL over again. That one day was perfect and I would never give it up.
We ended up with NO debt so all of our gifts went straight into the bank. Who knows if we would have had the self control to save up that much even in the two years we were engaged? It is different when you have vendor payments due at a certain time vs. a general house savings fund.
So now here we are, starting our life together that began with one perfect day. . .
