Neither FH and I have the kind of money that we would want to protect in a pre-nup. I could also never see FH asking for one. But if he did ask for one, I would feel really hurt if he asked, and then try to make it as fair as possible so my butt is covered too and then probably sign it.

the thought HAS come up with me only because in a few years I will be making a lot more money than I am now and the thought of paying alimony to him if we divorced would s u c k. But thats as far as I went with it.

Ive come to realize that YOU NEVER KNOW what will happen in the future. If Im not with him for the money then its not a big deal signing a piece of paper like that.

I see both sides of the coin, but I dont think its a big deal to sign.

Good thing that both FH and I are pretty pennyless

I would. No one PLANS on getting a divorce. And in reality....I'll be the one asking for one! My family has alot of property that we will be building on one day....and if anything happens....that house/property is MINE, it's been in my family for years....I'm not going to let a nasty divorce change that.....

I think it really depends what the pre nup states....but I think one is necessary sometimes.

I hear ya FH has alot as well & even though i answered already i agree with you. U never go into your marriage thinking of divorce but its life. And i personally dotn think its fair that FH would hav eto give me all of the properties his parents & grandparents acquired. that he will be getting thats crazy! But we dont have a pre-nup maybe i should ask FH!!! lol lol lol
