Re: QOTD

I would sit down and discuss things... but depending what types of things were in it I may/may not sign it

Re: QOTD

It depends. I do family law, and it's not necessarily an insult depending on the situation. I have no plans on divorcing, ever, but no one does when they get married, and if you have a prenup, the divorce, if it does happen, is far less painful . . . . it's shorter, there is less contention, etc. Divorces are hard and nasty, and a prenup can eliminate that and save both parties headache, heartache, and lots of money.

God forbid you should ever need it, but if a couple does split, it's great to have.

I would be shoced if my FH asked me, but the practical part of me might do it. I have more reason to seek one than he does, and I'm not, but the thought has entered my mind . . . . . I deal with it every day, so it's impossible for me to ignore the possibilities.

He had mentioned this to me in passing once or twice.....funny thing is he has nothing but, I do and I was thinking of him siging one....I am more or less watching out for my son's benefits with this. I dont want him to touch any child support, if I ever get it, that is my son's and mine.

A prenup for what? His tv, video games and comic books?

Re: QOTD

I actually would. I don't see the harm in it at all...it's just there. I think it could help in divorce if that does happen...make it a lot less complicated.

Depends. I think because we both own homes & have our things its like a safety for both of us. HOWEVER, WE DO NOT HAVE ONE! But i can understand those who do. I believe in them if necessary but i dont have 100 mil in the bank & neither does FH so im not worried lol lol lol

Re: QOTD

I would. No one PLANS on getting a divorce. And in reality....I'll be the one asking for one! My family has alot of property that we will be building on one day....and if anything happens....that house/property is MINE, it's been in my family for years....I'm not going to let a nasty divorce change that.....

I think it really depends what the pre nup states....but I think one is necessary sometimes.

Yes, before I ever even thought of getting married I didn't think it was a bad idea to sign at the dotted line. But we have discussed this and we're not going to.

Re: QOTD

In my absolute honest opinion, I would not sign one. By my thought process, if he asked me to sign one then he would have some doubts as to whether or not we would last and if he did then why the h*** are we getting married. I understand why some do, but I would never do it and would be incredibly insulted and hurt if he asked me to. Once again, just MHO.

I would not do it. Marriage to me is forever and a prenup is a piece of paper saying that it might not last and that is the case why get married.
