Do you/ will you know about your shower, if so will you be assisting in the planning, or do you prefer it to be a surprise?
My answer:
In my experience, showers (even surprise ones) rarely are real surprises lol. Hey its a month or two before the wedding, everyone from out of town is magically visiting, and your fh or moh tells you they want to take you to a fancy lunch? hahaha yeah many brides knows whats going on at that point.
So I guess I assume I will know about it or at least have a hunch. Especially since my MOH lives out of state. I did give a little in put to my girls too, suggesting they use my mother's backyard for the shower. Since I've been a MOH recently I empathize with the amount of money and planning involved, I let them know that it would be more than fine to just use my mom's beautiful backyard and save them a lot of hassle!
Also I'm contemplating buying a decent dress at the end of this season (when it's on sale! lol) and giving it to my MOH or other BMs this way if they do actually surprise me I have a decent outfit on hand lol. Hey I'm not vain I just generally don't ever dress up and I don't need shower pics of me in sweatpants lol

I've somewhat had a say in my shower. I told my mom specifically that if she wants to have it at a particular restaurant, that she MUST do a little redecorating. We love the food at this place, but oh my god, the decor is horrendous. It recently opened, and it's owned by two men, it has no 'woman's touch'. She already discussed this with the owner and he said it was fine to do some adjusting :) Otherwise, I prefer a complete surprise!

I want to be surprised. I have a feeling that some of my bridal party might slip though... we will have to see.

I would love a surprise BUT I really want to pick out my outfit and make sure I look nice! I told my mom I want a tropical theme BBQ with Hawaiian lais (not sure if thats right!) and little umbrellas in very tropical drinks! I also want to incorporate animal print on the invites and decoration because I know I won't really be able to for the wedding.. so long answer short is yes I want to be involved and ready for my tropical safari bridal shower! haha
