Question:

Details can drive you crazy!! What aspect of your wedding/wedding planning has given you the biggest headache, or are you most worried about pulling off?

My Answer:

Well I'm crazy as is, so I worry about every little detail. A lot lately about logistics like who's car to leave at the hotel, who brings home the gifts, who brings my bag yada yada...which I'm soooo far off from I shouldn't worry now! lol

But by far my biggest wedding nightmare/fear is Budget, or rather not staying on budget. I go over the numbers compulsively, tally up everything we spend, and re-adjust it each month to how much we have to save that month to hit the target. And still I'm petrified something is going to happen. (I hope I don't jinx myself) but I am sooooo afraid it's going to be month of, and I will find myself short. It's irrational really since I am obsessive about keeping track of everything and saving, but I just can't stop worrying!! and I still have 14 more months of worrying!!! lol oh boy

I think the budget is whats freaking me out the most. That and the fact that I have 9 other weddings before my own ... 3 of them are back to back months right before my own wedding.

Having to wait until a month before the wedding to get RSVP's and figure out who is sitting where is going to be really stressful for me. I like to get things done early, and it really sucks to have to wait to do the time consuming table seating stuff only a month before. I am doing DIY table seating cards, so one month before I have to:

1. Figure out who is at what table
2. Type out each person's name/table number in the template
3. Print them all out
4. Cut them to 2x6 for my photobooth frame escort cards

It's not too bad to do, just annoying to do that so close to the wedding, when I'm sure I'll have 39487239487 things to do!

The guest list. I can't even talk about it without getting angry.

Definitely the guest list. It's stressful to think that I could be leaving somebody out or determining if this person can come with a guest or not, etc. Not to mention when we did our first draft of the list, we had over 200 people and I thought we'd struggle to find 150 people to invite. I almost had a heart attack!

I think the logistics: re transportation for the day. It's hard to know if people will want to leave their cars at the hotel prior to the reception and take a shuttle over, or drive themselves, or even something else! Makes planning a bit difficult.

Other than that, I haven't run into any other tasks that frustrate me. I'm sure a year from now I won't be saying the same thing, though!!

So far my biggest stress factor has been the honeymoon! We're paying for it ourselves so I keep putting off booking it. I've given myself a deadline of the end of the month and that's it! Onto the credit card it goes!!!

Budget, guest list, and for some reason just everything actually coming together!
Also, our officiant. We thought we had someone booked but it kind of fell through. I'm having a bit of a difficult time finding someone I really like :(

Budget is definitely the most stressful, another big debate that has come up is whether or not we should take pictures before hand or not. We really want to but my family says no.

Fmils problems with the guest list. She doesn't get that even though she didn't raise her kids to be close to their cousins my cousins and I were raised like siblings.

For me it is budget I have had panic attacks about it. But I also am like some meejack and all the details like who's car stays at the hotel, timeline, who is doing what, stresses me out. I know I just have to breath and just let things happen cause I won't be able to control and plan for everything but I still stress from time to time when I do let myself get all ocd.

Nothing has really caused much stress. The budget sucks, I hate having to pay for all my great expensive ideas I also am dreading the guest list. Nothing too bad though.

The planning, regardless of what I said at the time, has not been too stressful. LOL. The most stressful part for me is trying to deal with everyone's opinions. FMIL is a really really sweet woman who has done a lot for me over the years, gave me a roof over my head when I didn't have anywhere else to go, but she has absolutely been driving me up a wall for the past few months. She has an opinion about everything, and wants me to do everything the way she likes it or choose everything she likes. When we went wedding dress shopping, she actually said that she doesn't want me to wear something that makes me look 'bigger than you already are'. Which was a real uplifting comment. LOL

Sorry to go on a rant for a minute, but that's the most stressful thing for me so far!

This! Limos and hotel blocks are driving me insane! Not to mention who is getting ready where and will my BMs need hair and makeup and all of that good stuff.

The aspect of the wedding that has given me the biggest headache has been my father. He refuses to walk me down the aisle with my stepfather and our relationship is now non existent. I am pretty sure he won't be coming to the wedding and he isn't contributing at all. He is not even on my wedding invitation. Our relationship wasn't great to begin with AT ALL and I am not really surprised but I am not looking forward for the BS or the whispers to continue. (LONG STORY) It is annoying. I am SUPER close with my stepfather so I am thrilled and honored he will be my side.

What I am most worried about pulling off is EVERYTHING. I am not a visual person so it is hard for me to envision how it will all come together. I am also worried about timing.

I've realized that everyone has an opinion on everything, and it can get kinda stressful dealing with it all. Sometimes I feel that no one even listens to me (except FH, who has been so supportive through this). Everyone just tells me what they think has to be done, and it is just so frustrating. I have compromised on a few things, but there are some things that I simply don't want to do, and I'm worried that I'll upset my parents

My biggest stress has been budget, like everyone has said, and wanting to get everything done NOW but trying to space things out since I have 16 months. I want to do things now because I'm excited and anxious but I feel like if I do too much too ahead of time (like picking out invitations, so unnecessary right now) I won't have anything left to do later on.
I'm also nervous that if I put things off until closer to when they're 'supposed' to gt done that ill have TOO MUCH to do and ill be overwhelmed.
