My FH and I thought we decided on The Beatles, 'All You Need is Love' for our first dance (The Beatles mean so much to us).
Then one night as I was obsessing over my photog's blog I cam across a playlist that he loves. I found a Ray LaMontagne song that said it all! So I called FH and found out that it was one of his favs! We decided right then and there on our song!
Our first dance song is She's Got a Way by Billy Joel. My fh sang it to me and played the piano when we first started dating. I am very sentimental.

My sister, my mom & I sat down with my dad one night with the computer & just started playing songs. All of a sudden my dad said, I want a song that means a lot to us. I said what about, This Used To Be My Playground by Madonna. & he loved it. When I was younger I danced to it in my recital & if I remember correctly it was my first lyrical dance, (I love lyrical). Also my dad always used to call his house & land, upstate, NY his girls playground. So it seemed fitting.

We just picked a song....the one we wanted and that has any meaning to us is not appropriate for a wedding reception lol.

FH and I are the biggest Dave Matthews Band fans... when the new album came out last year (even before we were engaged) we hoped their would be a perfect song and THERE WAS!!!

FH is a HUGE Beatles fan and wanted to use a Beatles song so he picked 'Here, There, and Everywhere. I listened to it and I love it. That was that. lol

It took us a while before finding the perfect song 'The Search is Over'. FH actually picked it and we thought it fit us to perfection. We are a bit older and the song kinda talks about looking and looking til you found the right one. Also, this song says that the person was in front of you all along. FH and I have known eahcother for 15 years and didnt start dating til 2 1/2 years ago. We really were in front of eachother all along.
