Even before you engagement...when did you know your FH was 'the one'???
FH and I actually met on a cruise...we were both with our families and met on Valentines day in the middle of the ocean...GAG... CORNY I know!!! I had to go all that way to find him and we lived 20 minutes from each other our whole lives!!!
When our trip was over and we were waiting for our separate flights which were delayed...he was so attentive and everything was so natural that my heart was in my throat at the thought that we may not ever see each other again b/c I knew something so real there!!! After our first date on land...IT WAS A WRAP!!!!lol

Actually after our first date I said to my sister Renee that he is the one. She said WHAT? After one date! I said, yup, i know ill be with him forever! I GUESS I WAS RIGHT!
BTW MY SISTERS REALLY MY ENTIRE FAMILY LOVE LOVE LOVE JOE TO DEATH! hehehe Who couldnt!???

After our second date. He went out of his way to make sure I had an unforgettable night (he arranged for a one hour massage at a spa; we went to dinner at B. Smith's and i had previously mentioned to him i had wanted to go there; and then he got me front row tickets to Chicago when Usher was starring in it, i LOVE USHER!!!). I knew that a man who did ALL that for me, was a KEEPER!

Actually I knew I was head over heals in love with Jordan and that he was my soul mate on February 11th 2005. It is a long story but my Nona (grandma in Italiano) had just passed and I had to drive from MD to CT in the middle of the night to get there in time for the viewing and funeral. I had to leave so late in the evening because Jordan and I had plans and I just really wanted to see him before I left. I told him over and over again that I had to leave by 8:30 the latest so I could be to CT by 2:30 and try to get some sleep before getting up at 7:30AM. So 8:30 came and went and I come to find out that he has taken my car keys, because the whole evening he had planned to come with me to CT to be there for me. He had never met my Nona, never met any of my family actually and we had JUST started dating only a few days before this. So he drove me all the way to CT, we got there at 4am and had 3.5 hours of sleep and then he met my entire family and spent the weekend there with us. It was honestly, by far, the most amazing, selfless thing anyone has ever done for me. And right there and then I knew he was the only man I would ever truly love.
after a few days he actually told his mom... i met the girl im gonna marry.. they all laughed him away and 5 years later we are getting married!!!

within the first few dates. I just had such a fun time with him and i never remembered laughing so much in my life. I was also going through a really rough time around then ( I was in the beginning of recovery for an eating disorder) and he did so much to help me through it like going to support group meetings with me, and basically watching me like a hawk and he was instantly protective over me. I just thought 'hey if he can deal with this he could prob deal with anything'

We were friends at work for about a year first... for the first month or so when we started hanging out outside of work it was always with other people, but when we went on our first 'real' date together I was so happy I was singing the whole way home lol.
Also the first time he met some of my friends, the next day one of them sent me a text that said, 'HE'S THE ONE.' I still have it saved.

i dont think i was sure until we moved in together....i knew that i was in love with him but to be 100% sure that he was the one i wanted to marry and spend the rest of my life with i had to see what it was like to live with him - we are both very realistic about things and it wasnt until we started living together that i think we both knew for sure - because its a glimpse into our future as husband and wife - best decision we ever made was to move in together

Two weeks after we started hanging out 3 years ago. After a few months of hanging out we stopped seeing eachother in September '05 (long story). In June of '06 he contacted me and the rest is history! Timing is everything!

We were kinda set up on a blind date.... We were both on a dating sight but my MOH's hubby worked in my FH's shop. And he kept telling my FH about me.... He finally showed my FH pics of me and he realized that I was the girl he had been winking ( a feature on the dating site) at. So my MOH's hubby called me right away and told me that.
So we made plans to go out on a Friday night... and the moment I saw him walk through the door I knew.
I asked him this same question recently and he said... (as corny as it is) I knew the second I saw your profile that you were the one.

the fist moment i saw him... we met in miami ( i was living in miami at the time) we spent the whole weekend together and then i came home on his plane... we have been together ever since

Well, to be honest, I wasn't planning on going on a second date because even though he was super sweet, he just wasn't my type. I thought he was 'too' nice. (Turns out he is actually the only boyfriend I ever had who did not let me walk all over him- go figure!) But for some reason I did go on a second date and we just clicked. I think I really knew when he sent me an email a few weeks in to dating. I guess on our first date I had said a list of things I was looking for in a person, and he sent me an email letting me know how he wanted to be that person for me. Right then I just knew and that night I told him I loved him!
Sometimes I look back and think about how my life would have been if I had listened to myself and not gone on a second date with him. I wouldn't be in love with this amazing person who makes me incredibly happy!

seriously I remember the exact second like yesterday when I knew I really wanted to stick around with this guy.. it was after some sexy time and he lit up a cigarette and we ate left over cold Chinese food and laughed our heads off it was the first time in my life where I was living in the now not in the IF world.. I was at peace.. I have to say I fall in love with him all over again after a fight , even really bad ones we become stronger and better people together, it rocks!

that is so sweet...i came really close to not going on that cruise so many times b/c of ridiculous things and your right life would be so different so sad...

I was very weary of having him meet my daughter(she was 2 at the time). i waited for them to meet till we were together about 5 months and we both ended up having the same day off one day. Usually that was mommy daughter day but he was dying to meet her so we went out to lunch and played at dave and busters for a bit. ever since seeing how cute they were togeher and just how natural it was for him to be with her even the very rare time he watched her alone in the first year I just knew that he was the one. Since we came as a package deal it was very important to me that he loved her as much as me. once she started school last september (they must refer to parents as mommy and daddy) we stared talking about the whole 'daddy' thing(since she started coming home and calling him daddy rather than Jon) I wasn't totally comfortable with it at first but it grew on me and Jon actually encouraged her to call him daddy. Since we got engaged and had been talking about getting married after this deployment I became at ease with it and it just feels right now (he has refered to her as his daughter for a while now anyway) And the rest is history We even joke that he should get a paternity test since they look so much a like too.
