QOTD

QOTD

Okay here is my question of the day.

there are all these wedding shows that plan your wedding for you. .like surprise you are getting married in a week. . so the perks are obviously great. . free stuff etc. . but would you really do it? would it be worth missing out on the trying on dresses with family/friends, going to tastings, anticipation, making guest lists etc? being on tv (perk or not?)

I personally would never do it. I think the wedding is not just about the things but also the memories you create with your friends and family leading up to the day. I wouldn't trade those for the world. I have loved the planning process.

I also wouldnt want my day scrutinized on tv either. Our personalities are not suited for that.

I wouldn't. The free stuff would be great but I am really enjoying the planning and anticipation!

Now, if they wanted to pay for it but let me do it in my own way and time then absolutely! :)

i would love it because I wouldn't have to plan so much! Even now, when I feel overwhelmed, I remember that the most important thing is already taken care of..

And I love free stuff!!!

An 08 bride from the boards did My Fair Wedding, we should get her opinion. I would probably do that one because it would take the pressure off my mom and I know it would come out absolutely breathtaking, but it would be hard to give up total control of my wedding.

The one that was on the other night, Hitched or Ditched, not a chance in hell.

But I want to go on that newlywed show after the wedding.

no way...one thing fh and i decided when we got engaed was to do what we liked...even if other people thought it was tacky or whatever..we wanted the wedding to reflect who we r

No, because they'd take away my masks!

As tempting as it would be to have it be carte blanche paid for, I like the way my wedding is turning out just the way it is, and I wouldn't want it changed for TV. And I certainly couldn't deal with the pressure of being on TV.

No i wouldn't even though it has been tough to pay for the wedding i wouldn't do it because i want certain things and i know they would be taken away from me.

I think I'd say no but not by much because I'm tired of planning and waiting and stuff. I don't think it would be bad but I'd miss out on my shower and invites and registering and sstuff.

realized I never answered! I don't think I would do it b/c I loved the planning. . not all the details but the little parts. like walking with FH to the post office to drop off our invites or having him buy my DOJ. . even cake tasting, finding something new and unique. . having friends and family involved.

that said it WOULD HAVE BEEN nice to have things paid for and no stress. .
