******* QOTD ****** 6/15

Good Morning Girls !! I am so excited to start my week off this morning. Many girls are atill new on here so I would like to try and get everyone to know each other as best as possible.

So here goes my first Question as BOTW !!

What is the most sweetest, memorable or thoughtful gift you have ever gotten from FH? (Other than the proposal) How did you react when he gave it to you. Did you like it or dislike it ?

We were only dating a month when valentines day rolled around so I didnt know what to get him. FH surprised me with a couples massage that I thought was the sweetest thing ever. We sat in a lounge area and waited to be called in robes and slippers. Than had our 50 min massage next to each other. Afterwards had lunch in our robes.....I loved it

Mine is a toss-up between 3 things:

1. On our first date, we were at a pool hall and Aerosmith's 'Angel' came on over the sound system. I got so excited and started singing along. He left to go to the bathroom, and at the end of the night when I went to pull my wallet out, I noticed that he had put the Aerosmith 'Big Ones' CD in my purse (which of course had Angel on it). 9 years later, I still have the CD, and Angel is going to be our wedding song.

2. When we first started dating, I got really sick one day. I worked in a doctor's office at the time and he came to visit me at work after braving through a snow and ice storm. Despite the fact that I worked in a doctor's office and had full access to any type of medicine, he surprised me with a box of DayQuil, a box of NyQuil, and a 24K golden dipped rose.

3. Finally, there was one day (again at the beginning of our relationship) where he came over and surprised me with Boston Market macaroni and cheese after a conversation earlier that day about how much I love it.

He's given me diamonds, gold, and electronics, but besides my e-ring, those are by far the best.

There are two that completely stick out for me.

The first is - on our second Christmas, he got me an autographed photo from one of my favorite musicians. I don't know how he managed that, and I don't ask questions...I was just shaking, in awe of it.

The second is not so much a gift as a wonderful gesture. We had only been together for maybe 4 months and I knew something was wrong with my cat...it was a Sunday afternoon and I found a vet that was actually open and it turned out he needed an emergency procedure that would cost a LOT of money. My cat is insured, but it's the kind of insurance where you pay up front and they reimburse you in a few weeks. FH didn't know about any of that - he just showed up at my house, drove us to the vet, and handed over his credit card and said not to worry about the cost, just get the kitty healthy. That was one of those 'HE'S A KEEPER!!!!' moments for me. (So long ago too!)

It was really silly but.....a few months into our relationship I got sick and was basically home bound for several days. After work one day he came over unannounced with an overnight bag, chicken soup, and The Goonies on DVD. It was so incredibly cute.

Also I think another really cool surprise was our first valentines day. He had planned a weekend away for us but we weren't leaving until two days after Vday. Well he came to pick me up at the train station with one long stem rose in hand. And I thought oh ok, that's sweet, I guess most of his money went into the trip. When we got to his place I went up the stairs opened the door to his room and there were two dozen roses and chocolates waiting for me, I was floored :)

I go through phases where I feel like I look ugly and stuff like that and I often get down on myself, and one afternoon he took it upon himself to order my favorite flower which are purple orchids to be be delivered to me everyday of the week until I felt better............I thought that was the sweetest thing in the world.

after being together for 9 years we have exchanged many gifts & we have done a lot for each other. however the most amazing thing that FH was ever done for me was:

we got into a car accident in May of 2005. FH was driving & i was the passenger. someone hit us on the passenger side of the car & i had to climb out of the car. i ended up going to the hospital because the air bag beat me up. i broke a whole bunch of blood vessels in my eye (one of which is permanently broken) & i have a very sensitive ear now. i had to wait 6 weeks for my eye to heel. which meant no driving, no working, no reading, no watching tv, no dancing & i was still in school at the time. for the six weeks, FH did everything for me, he drove me to & home from school. took all my notes for me & kept me company.

due to the permanent broken blood vessel in my eye, i have lost some of my peripheral vision in my left eye so i don't trust anyone on my left side but FH. so he knows whenever we go any place he always needs to be on my left side.

after almost 9 years together i have received a lot of thoughtful gifts, but one of my favorites would be 3 years ago for my birthday he took me away for the weekend to a hotel/spa in new hampshire for a full body massage//weekend getaway.. it was so much fun and still one of our favorite places to visit

he actually wanted to propose there on my birthday last year, but then we wound up going to the bahamas & he decided to do it there instead

he is really cute tho, has a very good memory of things i say in passing that i would love to have and he always manages to find a way to buy them for me.. he spoils me

love that man <3

When he and I were dating 2 weeks I went away with my family to Disney on vaca. We talked about 5 times a day while I was away and could not wait to see him when I got home. I drove directly to his house and I was in awe he got me 2 dozen roses and a bunch of balloons to welcome me home. It was so unexpected.

He made it out of poster that he folded in half and he decorated the outside with craft roses and stuff from michaels and in the inside he put photos of us with a poem he wrote

Mine was an oil painting that he had made from a picture of us. If you look in my album, under engagement, the picture of me with th ering, you can see it in the backround.

The most sweet thoughtful gift Joe got me was a last minute gift that he bought on Christmas eve. In college, I really wanted a Northface Jacket to keep me warm when I walked to school. He tried to get one but everyone was sold out. He ended up buying me a kids size small b/c he 'thought' I could fit into it! I was flattered but we had to return it in the end. I love him!

Its gonna sound weird but when I graduated FH gave me a GPS...and its really cheesy but he told me it was to help me find my way in the world now that I'm a college grad...I thought it was incredibly sweet. I was also really excited because I'd been wanting one forever...I use that thing so much I'm surprised it hasn't burned out yet hehe

Throughout our 8 year relationship my FH has been super sweet, very thoughtful, and attentive he really pays attention to every detail. I have received Jewelry, clothing , shoes uggs, Trips, tons of flowers and especially lots LOVE One of the moments of course i Love is when he proposed because he had it all set up my family knew and I was totally clue less and he did it in our favorite location. Is a long story but it was perfect!! It was definitely a highlight of our relationship.

But although that was my favorite moment what was so special was two valentines ago FH set up a romantic dinner he bought my favorite food and set up his apartment with flowers, petals every where and candles everywhere and served dinner to me. He was my waiter for the day. He bought me little things, wrote me a sweet letter. It was really special. I him.

FH surprised me with concert tickets to see my favorite band for one of my birthdays. Over the years, every time they were in the NY or NJ area, something always prevented me from being able to see them. Finally they were gonna be in NYC about 2 weeks after my birthday but then we had a Christmas party to go to that night. Turns out the Christmas party was made up and we were going to the concert. I was so happy and in complete shock, especially because FH doesn't like the same type of music as me. Too bad the concert itself was disappointing.
