Good Morning Brides-to-be! Happy fathers day to all our dad's! In honor of father's day my last question of the day is...

What song are you dancing with your dad/stepdad too?

Are you doing anything special for your godfather?

Do you think dad/stepdad will be emotional walking you down the aisle/dancing etc?

If your dad is no longer with you, will you honor him in some way?




1. I believe I am doing 'I loved her first' by Heartland. I know it's typical but it's so relatable

2. I will mention my godfather's name in a reading because unfortunately he passed away about 2 years ago

3. I think my dad will be very emotional, I am his BABY and when he walked my sister down his face was priceless- he looked like a walking zombie concentrating so hard to have no emotion

4. I just saw one of my friends made a bear out of her dad's old clothes and had it sit at the alter while she got married, I thought this was awesome

My dad and I are on the outs so he is probably not even showing up. My stepfather on the other hand will be walking me down the aisle and we will be doing a dance. We are going to dance to Faith Hill- There You'll Be which I LOVE

Are you doing anything special for your godfather?
I am not doing anything special with my godfather.

Do you think dad/stepdad will be emotional walking you down the aisle/dancing etc?
I think my stepfather is going to DEFINITELY get choked up and probably cry. He and I have such a special relationship that it is going to be a memorable moment for both of us.

My dad and I are dancing to 'the way you look tonight' by Frank Sinatra

Nope, didn't even think about it but probably not

Yes! I am the youngest of four, but my dad and I are the closest of all of my siblings. He told my FH that I'm his favorite but I'm not supposed to know He apparently started crying when he knew I'd be moving out because he's gonna miss me lol. He's been getting more emotional with age lol but he can't fall apart on the day of the wedding or else I will!

-I won't be dancing with anyone because FH doesn't care about doing too many traditional things and my father won't be at my wedding and although I love my step father I don't feel it's important enough to take the time out of the reception.

-No :(

-I think so yes! I'm going to have my stepfather or my grandfather do it and I think either one would be very emotional

-My father isn't in my life so unfortunately this question doesn't really apply to me :(

I'm having two dances with my dad- one for him and one for my grandpa who passed away 11 years ago. The song for my dad is My Girl by the Temptations and the one for my grandpa is There You'll Be by Faith Hill.

Don't have one.

I have no doubt that my dad will be a wreck when he walks me down the aisle. He's been so emotional just thinking about the wedding and knowing that the day after I'm moving 700 miles away from him.

My dad passed away when I was 8 so I'm dancing with my mom to either like my mother does by lauren alaina or mamas song by carrie underwood.

I haven't seen my godfather since I was 5 and he is not the type of person I want in my life.

I'm going to attach a charm with my dads picture to my shoe so he can 'walk me'down the aisle and I'm also probably going to do a memorial candle.

My mom is walking me down the aisle and she will probably be a mess.

This topic is a little rough because at the current moment my father and I are on the outs and I'm not really speaking with him. Unfortunately... that being said... I can't do just a dance with my stepfather... without it hurting my fathers feelings and me feeling guilty about it.

If I were to do a dance with my father it would probably be the same song I did at my sweet 16 which was Kelly Osbourne and Ozzy's duet 'Changes'

If I do a dance with my Step Father it would probably be some like rock song that we could have fun with.

My godfather is currently not speaking to me and has not acknowledged me in 5 years. He will not be invited to my wedding.

I'm fairly positive all the men in my life will cry like a baby sans my FH. My father cries at spilled milk and is a big baby. At least he'll cry if he shows up.

My dad passed 15 years ago I was thinking of asking his brother to dance with me in his place.

I am going to ask my brother-in-law to walk me down the aisle. I am sure he will be a little emotional

I LOVE Steven Curtis Chapman's Cinderella! I think this may be the song that my father and I dance to but I'm not 100% sure yet!

I don't plan on doing anything special for my Godfather.

My dad isn't an emotional guy but I definitely think he will be super emotional on my wedding day. He actually kinda of gave it away that FH would be proposing to me since he got so emotional when FH asked him for his blessing to propose. FH asked my dad the night before we were leaving for Disney. I had a feeling that he would propose there since it's our favorite place in the world. My birthday was a couple weeks before and FH told me that as my gift he was renting a private boat to watch the fireworks on our first night there. We HAD to do it the first night so this was kinda of the first clue he would be proposing. As for my dad kind of giving it away... we live in apartment in my father's house and during the day we leave our dog with him since she has easy access to the backyard. I thought FH was going to get our dog for the night but he was actually asking my dad if he could marry me. I went upstairs as my FH has walking out of my dad's with our dog so I didn't think it was weird that he was up there. I was going to talk to my dad about what time he had to wake up since we was driving us to the airport. When I was talking to my dad we wouldn't come near me or look me in the eye. He kept on going into the kitchen to blow his nose. At that point I kinda of figured that FH must have told him he was proposing. So YES I do think my dad will be super emotional!! Sorry for the long story!

I'm going to be dancing with my mom..not sure what song yet..I always liked boys II men - a song for mama, but I also love carrie underwood - mama's song but still not sure yet.

I don't have contact with my godfather, only my godmother since they got divorced a few years ago, but I don't think I'm doing anything special with her.

My cousin is walking me down the aisle he might be nervous walking me down, but will get emotional when he does his speech. As far as my dad, I haven't had contact with him since my parents divorced over 15 years ago, but I want to do a memory candle or something for my grandpa that passed away, since he was like my father

-I have to still listen to songs to figure this out. I adore my dad so I have to find the perfect song.

-Unfortunately I no longer talk to my Godfather so absolutely not will we be doing anything for him.

-My dad is going to cry like a baby. I'm his only daughter and he always talks about when he has to walk me down the aisle and keeps saying how he doesn't know how he's going to get through it lol

1. My dad means the world to me. He has sacrificed so much to make sure his daughters have a good future. I love him and want to take care of him for the rest of his life, after I'm settled down. I haven't decided what I want to dance to with him, but I know it will be a sentimental song.

2. My grandpa was my godfather, who passed away 3 months ago. I am not sure how I will honor him, but I would like to do something.

3. My dad is such a mush. He gets emotional just watching movies where the dad walks his daughter down the aisle, so I'm sure both dad and I are going to be crying our eyes out. That's the first thing I'm going to tell the makeup lady, waterproof eye makeup please!

1. I am definitely dancing with my dad at the wedding... not 100% sure what song we're dancing to, but so far our options are: Darius Rucker 'It Won't Be Like This For Long' or Steven Curtis Chapman 'Cinderella'. We have time to work on it.

2. Unfortunately my godfather recently passed, so I will be setting up a 'memories' table/area at the reception with a picture of him and others who have passed with a sweet saying. I miss him terribly and wish he could be there to celebrate with me, but know he will be there in spirit.

3. I think dad will be more nervous and pretend to not be emotional while walking me down the aisle. He won't cry, that's for sure lol

I am dancing with my dad to 'I Loved Her First' by Heartland. He chose the song, and the words are perfect for us.

No. We haven't spoken for years. He is not active in my life.

I think so! I am an only child. I have only seen my dad cry once, but I think he might be fighting back tears on this day.
