So I was thinking last night as I was watching Sylia Weinstock on Martha Stewart Wedding Cakes on In Style. I really want to do something for FH on our wedding day.
Are you ladies planning on do something special for your man on the big day???

I am doing a grooms cake of a 1972 BMW 2002 series. It is his dad's race car and has a very special meaning to him. Plus, we are in the process of buying it from him.
Also, FH will be driving this car to the church and get some pics with it. It was the car him and his dad have worked on since he was 4. Its like their bond.

we are too similar its scary!!!!!
Fh keeps joking with me that he is going to have his race car at the ceremony and when the officiant asks if we do he will look at me and say i do and then look at his race car and say i do and then he will also kiss his race car at the end.
So i was thinking of having a grooms cake done of his race car

You and I are in a similar situation. My FH also wants to drive his car to the ceremony. Told him he was out of his mind - its not even street legal.
The only thing he really wants though is a Carvel cake as a wedding cake. I'm going to have someone pick one up for him and deliver it to the RH and that's what he can have instead of the traditional cake.

Y'all, I never even knew what a grooms cake was until I started planning my wedding and I ASKED the wedding coordinator during a bridal luncheon at my hall.
I don't know I'd like to do something special for him, but I don't want it to involve another piece of food... we're getting so much food as it is... I'll have to think of something!!

I really want to do something extra sweet for him because I know by 2010 he is going to want to smash my with what I am going to put him through with wedding planning...lol.
He does hair so I was thinking for getting him a barber style grooms cake, like clippers and stuff like that. Not sure.
I want to do something that will blow him away and I'm not sure that will do it....any ideas?

i'm going to be getting him a groom's cake that looks like Shea Stadium...since Shea won't be around by the time our wedding arrives...I also plan on hiring Mr. Met to come to the reception....since his family are huge Mets fans and my family are big Mets fans as well

well the grooms cake is customary in my culture but I plan on giving him several gifts at the reception and then my b-pics after the reception! Gotta hit the gym though

he's getting a specialty grooms cake at the RD of something from his favorite movie, and i'm working on a nacho cheese fountain, lol, long story

I was thinking about giving him a cake replicating his car (dodge charger w/ chrome accessories). However, We are having wedding cake, rum cake for guest to take home, and perhaps a chocolate fondue station, so i'm wondering if it make be a bit too much.
We wanted to say our own vows but we don't want to sound cheesy in front of 160 people so we plan on writing personal vows in a letter and delivering them to each other the morning of the wedding
Other things I was thinking about was surpising him with a tattoo on my upper thigh that only he'll see as he's taking off my garter...

hmmmm, it will depend on finances at the time.
I would like to have a grooms cake, with some video game (if we could get World of Warcraft that would rock) or something medieval related because of the medieval group we are part of.
I will prob think of something by then, but brain hurts right now between Bar review and worrying about money

im gonna do a grooms cake of either shea or of giants stadium. Mets are his fav team, and giants stadium is where the NY Red Bulls play soccer so I would get the field and have them put LA Galaxy playing Red Bull. (that game means something special to us, it was such a great time!!) Cant decide...but whatever cake I choose I will choose the opposite team for my garter and surprise him with that!! Also I am getting a custom bobble for the 'cake topper' and I want to see if i can get our people wearing soccer uniforms with our numbers on it and with the bride in a viel too lol think they would do that??!!
