QOTD 6/19

My FH and I have begun to draft some songs we know we want played at cocktail hour and during the reception. There have been lots of questions about the bridal party, ceremony, and entrance songs but I don't think this has been asked yet:

What is your first dance song? Does it have significance to you and your FH or do you just like the way it sounds?

We have no idea everything he Fh picks I don't like :) but he is all about dirty dancing so maybe the theme song from that movie I like beautiful in my eyes or a Michael buble song.

Our first dance song is our song which is Edwin McCain- I Could Not Ask For More. Very early on into our relationship we both were listening to this song and it just became ours. It perfectly describes our love for each other and we could not ask for more because together we have it all!

Our first dance song will be train 'Marry Me.' That was the song he proposed to me! I have never heard of it until he played that, but he did good with the song selection. I'm a R&B slow jam kinda girl tho..lol!

Too funny FH and I were discussing this yesterday. We're not at the point yet of having to really decide. But we can't agree anyway! I love 'Bless the Broken Road' for our first dance by rascal flatts.. its perfect for FH and I and perfect for our story, BUT FH thinks its 'soooo' overdone. I'm like yeah because It's an awesome song lol. We'll see as it gets closet because he hasn't been able to come up with any good suggestions. lol

Doesn't matter if it is over done it is your wedding! I love that song. So perfect.

All fantastic songs.

I've always loved 'Overjoyed' by Stevie Wonder ever since I was a little girl. FH never heard the song before he met me. I told him after we got engaged that I've always loved it and wanted it as my first dance song. He said ok. So that's that. LOL

'Now our dreams are coming true, through the good times and the bad, I'll be standing there by you...' We have been together since we were young and have been through a lot... although if you ask FH it was all a walk in the park. lol. Glad to finally be at this point in our lives. When I hear this song, I cry... every time.

I have no clue! Tomorrow is one year until the wedding so I plan to listen to a whole bunch of songs with FH tomorrow because we cant think of one! lol

FH and I haven't decided on a first dance song yet. He wants to dance to 'Into my Arms' by Nick Cave (he proposed to me when we were on our way to a Nick Cave concert, and it is his favorite band). I'm not sure if it can be danced to, since the tempo is really slow..

Haha at the Barclays center? I was there
