My FH and I have begun to draft some songs we know we want played at cocktail hour and during the reception. There have been lots of questions about the bridal party, ceremony, and entrance songs but I don't think this has been asked yet:
What is your first dance song? Does it have significance to you and your FH or do you just like the way it sounds?
We have no idea everything he Fh picks I don't like :) but he is all about dirty dancing so maybe the theme song from that movie I like beautiful in my eyes or a Michael buble song.

We're thinking 'Harvest Moon' By Neil Young. It's super sweet and describes our relationship well (we started dating at 15, took a break in college, got back together after graduating college).

Ours is a Marc Anthony balad that we loveeee and it just became ours when FH was singing to me one day in the car and it was one of the first songs I could understand in Spanish.. There is a slow version for the first dance and a salsa version which is what we always hear on the radio and out which is great because we loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee to salsa!

Dave Barnes- God Gave Me You is a special song for us, but I am not sure if we are going to use it for our first dance song... still have time to decide and have plenty of other things to focus on! lol

We haven't picked out a song, but we've been throwing around some ideas. We met in a Britney Spears chat room ten or eleven years ago (I know, weird) so we were thinking maybe one of her songs. We were also thinking of maybe I'm Already There by Lonestar just because we've been long distance our entire relationship and will be until the day we get married and that song just makes me cry every time.
'good thing' by reel big fish. FH took me to a RBF concert and that song was playing when I first got the urge to tell him 'I love you'. It was the song that made me realize I was head over heels in love with him.

First day of my life by bright eyes!
FH was painting a house (he paints in the summer when he's off from teaching) and it came on the radio he stopped what he was doing and called me immediately because he loved it so much lol this was like 3 years ago now :)
