Okay... so my little trip yesterday sparked today's QOTD

Would you ever get (or have you ever gotten) a matching tattoo with FH or would you ever tattoo his name on your body??

FH has always wanted us to get matching tattoos, but i told him i wouldn't put his name on my body until at least after we were married (my personal preference). So he's been saying he wanted us to get matching coy fish tattoos since they symbolize good luck and it wouldn't be too girly of a tattoo for him to have or too manly for me to get LOL so yesterday as we are walking around in Lake George we passed a tattoo parlor.. we decided to go in & check out what they had... 20 min later we were sitting down getting tattoos LOL

we got a coy fish on the inside of our right ankle.. same exact fish, size, colors, & put in the same spot. i love ittt!!! maybe i'll add his name underneath it later on down the road... we'll see

I want us to get matching tattoos! Neither of us have any and we're not really into them, but I have been annoying him for months.
I originally wanted to get his name or initials, but I think we are both going to get our wedding date tattooed.

I have tattoos but I would NEVER get FH's name.....i'm a little superstitious like that.

And FH has none and doesn't plan on ever getting them so thats a no for him.

eta: if FH decided to get a tattoo i wouldn't mind matching tattoos....my sister and i have matching ones.

neither of us have tattoos. FH said the only way he would ever get a tattoo was if he was in the military & since he isn't he is not getting one. i am petrified of needles so i will never be getting one either.

i dont have any tattoos and don't plan on getting any (i actually think a lot of tattoos are cool but its just not for me). But even if i did get a tattoo i wouldnt get FH's name on me...god forbid somethng happened i wouldn't wanna worry about getting it removed or something.

I am too scared of needles to ever get a tattoo.

Matching tattoos would be nice, if I didn't faint at the idea of getting one.

I don't like when people get names of those other than their children on them. It (to me), is vaguely creepy and posessive.

I would never get FH's name tattoo'ed on me, just could never do that

I would have no problem getting matching tattoo's with him, we both have them and i just got a matching one this weekend with my sister and cousin

Nope. I don't have any tattoos and probably never will. I'm PETRIFIED of needles. Even if I were to get a tattoo, it certainly wouldn't be FH's name. God forbid we ever divorce, that's not something I'll want on me forever.

I agree..... I just hate needles and I am so scared I would change my mind after the fact.

nope! I am not into tattoo's and my FH does not like them!

Besides my mother has told me since I was little if I ever got one she would filet it off my skin with a kitchen knife!

i would want a tattoo that symbolizes FH, but not FH's name. maybe initials, since we share initials anyway

as for FH getting anything matching, no way. i bring the idea of ME getting something and he doesnt like it...so i dont ever think he will get one

i loveeee lindsey lohans tatto 'breath' in white ink on the inside of her wrist. thats the only tattoo ill ever get..

but neither of us will get tats.

never putting his name on my body, maybe im superstitious but i feel like its a curse lol... i know he would never do it either b/c his dad has his mom's name on his arm and they are divorced now.

FH has 3 tattoos and wants to get more ...... I dont have any, but i want to get one. We talked about getting something after we got married. something the same or each others initials under our engagement rings. Hsvent decided yet.

By the way the coy fish is such a good idea.

my FI has his Mom's first Inital (she passed when he was 13) and his last name on his right arm... coincidentally she and I have the same first initial sooo he kinda already has it!

Neither FH or I like the idea of name tattoos (im sorry, please noone get offended, its just a personal choice) but I am most likely going to get our anniverary '418' or something to symbolize the two of us or our marriage. I think we would get matching tattoos if we thought of something that meant something to us
