Happy Sunday. I had such a great time asking questions. Thank you so much making me bride of the week. I hope you enjoyed the questions.
So for my last question : It's about planning! How involved have your future in laws been? Do you enjoy their input or want it more? My future in laws are not involved at all which they have reason to be since they don't live in the United States. I would love for them to be involved more but weddings are different here than where they are from. They don't understand the year prior planning. They probably think I'm a bit crazy for planning 17 months in advance.

Ffil doesn't care and fmil doesn't understand being close to your cousins because her kids aren't and is driving me crazy telling me I shouldn't invite them.
FMIL has been very helpful when I've needed opinions. She was very involved in planning her older daughter's wedding a few years ago, so she thinks of a lot of stuff I don't think about when I'm planning.

I discuss his topic to death with my mom. FH's family isn't involved AT ALL. Like we will spend a few hours with his mom and she doesn't mention the wedding. It's like its a figment of our imaginations. His sister also doesn't ask a thing, and she's a BM. I overheard her ask FH about BM dresses once months ago, which cracked me up. Does she expect him to know about BM dresses? Ask me, you dimwit!
PS, I have to go BM dress shopping with his sister in an hour. I'm seriously pondering an 11am bottle of wine right now....

FMIL offers her input when I ask for it specifically which is good for me. I don't really want 528934732 opinions so it's perfect! lol

My FMIL passed away but my FFIL is involved in the sense that he knows all of the things we are purchasing, whats upcoming as well as an overview of what we are doing.

Involved enough--sometimes my FMIL is a bit too into ANYTHING so it gets on our nerves a bit. I appreciate her wanting to be a part of our wedding day, but sometimes I want to tell her to pipe down. I sound terrible talking about her, and I swear I love her, but I wish she was a little less involved!

oh my god- my future in laws are literally a terror. they have had zero involvement, zero input, just nasty comments about money and want us to pay for what THEY want...well they can kiss my you know what! i hate them so much. If they show up to our wedding and on time, it will be a miracle. I could care less. We have no relationship and i don't speak to them, nor do i care to.

My future in laws aren't involved at all. It's just his mom, and she's elderly, not to mention lives in Puerto Rico. My family isn't involved either. It's just the two of us - just the way I like it.

They are not involved at all- which is fine. They never ask any questions about planning or anything related to the wedding. When I'm around them it's almost like it's not happening (but if you go to my parents house all my mom wants to talk about is flowers, etc lol). It should be interesting when we plan/book something and they decide to have an opinion

This is the same exact thing that's happening with us! Patrick's sister asked him about BM dresses also and never cared to ask me....ssoooo frustrating!

Not very! But FMIL & FFIL are from another country so they too have different expectations of a wedding. but it's ok I'm very hands on and controlling (hehe) and I want everyone to enjoy and be surprised

FMIL offers to be more involved then my own mother does. I don't always accept the offer though because her taste/concept of a wedding is waaaaay waaaay different than mine. Hey when I was talking florists she suggested I check out the BEAUTIFUL bouquets at Stop and Shop. No lie. Hey I'm pretty cheap but that is cheap lol. It's still nice to have someone excited though. FFIL is a very sweet old man but he has no clue about weddings! Lol he will have din dancing day of though I'm sure.

FH's mom and grandma are absolutely awesome, and they have been helping me out so much! My family is not in this country, so I have to run ideas by them via Skype. But FMIL and FH's grandma have been my go-to people, and I cannot wait until I become a part of their family

They gave me a guest list so I knew how many guests I would need, that was the extent of their involvement.

Unfortunately, FH's side of the family has had zero involvement in the planning--we're not even sure if they're coming to the wedding. They live in MO, UT, and TX and probably have very different ideas of what a wedding looks like...nobody does it like NY!

My FMIL & FFIL aren't really involved but we keep them up on everything we do/book. I did invite my FMIL to come along one day while we went dress shopping. FSIL is really involved & I love it. we both are into all this stuff & have similar visions so I value her opinion.
