So on today's agenda for me is dress shopping, leading to today's question

What made your dress the one? Did you go into everything knowing what you wanted? Were you surprised at all by your choice of dress?

Even before I was engaged, I thought I would be a Maggie Bride. I loved the simplicity and the elegance of a lot of her dresses but there was one in particular, I had to have, I just knew it would be my dress!!! Boy, was I wrong!!! I tried it on and hated it....it did nothing for me. The sales lady, when she saw my disappointment, told me not to worry and pulled the dress that became 'my dress'. I love everything about dress. It is still simple elegance and I know that I made the right choice.

I actually wandered into a store on a whim and found my dress. It was the exact opposite of what I was looking for!

I always knew I wanted something form fitting and not poofy, so it was just a matter of getting the sketches and deciding which one, and I fell in love with the idea of using spanish lace and beading and I havent changed my mind... Mind you, I've never seen nor tried on the dress until the designer actually shipped it last month. So I took a risk LOL

It was honestly just the way I looked and felt when I put it on. Also my family's reaction. They all started crying and I just knew

I spent a month googling Maggie & other dresses. One day, took my dry cleaning to some new place and noticed they had a big poster advertising their 'wedding dress cleaning' services with a bride on the poster. I fell in love with the dress, took a pic and took it to a bridal store. It was Jasmine Couture and that was the 2nd and last dress I tried on :))

I saw a pic online and knew it was the one. Then I tried it unknowingly at the store and it was still the one. I just started crying when they put the veil on.

I went in knowing shitttt!!!!!!!!
Then I was introduced to ruching and my life changed
Then I was introduced to mermaid.
Once I tried on one that had both I knew it was the one. Lets me honest I'm super short and thick and my gown made me look taller and thin

i tried on 40+ dresses before i found my dress. what i loved about it was that it had all the little elements i liked about the other dresses. and the price was right :)

I didn't know what I wanted, just what I didn't want. And I ended up with one of the elements that I didn't want and a shape I hadn't even considered! When I put it on I just felt so good in it!
