In honor of my day off, which will be spent painting, here's a house or apt related question.
Where are you planning to live after you're married? House, apt building, apt in a house etc.
Where do you live now? With FH? At home etc.
And what is your vision of that place?

We're living here in this house for another few years until we can move closer to our families in Nassau county.
This house is in my name. I actually moved here w my ex husband and basically foreclosed on his loser ***. Lol
My vision of this house has always been like the magazine better homes and gardens w an amazing garden and us throwing wonderful parties. Yet...its a work in progress. My kitchen isnt finished...its been 3 years. My yard is a jungle and now bc of the new cesspool i have dirt and no lawn in the back bottom part of the yard. Sigh.

We just closed on our house last week and that's where we will be living after the wedding. We were hopping to rent to out for a few months to help with the payments but our potential renter changed his mind . We both still live at home for now and will be taking our time fixing up the house and buying furniture.

FH and I currently live in a 2 bdrm apt on the 2nd floor of my parents house... we have our own entrance and all - it is the BEST!!! I LOVE IT!! Id stay here forever... FH not so much! He says its good for now ... LOL
After the wedding we plan to stay here a few years... we can have a baby here too so thats the plan... then we look to buy a house

FH and I don't live together right now but when we get married, the plan is to move to an apt in port wash. Hopefully we can save enough money in a year or two after the wedding to buy a house

We both live w. our parents - i moved back home about a year ago after living on my own for four years.
We have checked out 2 apartments - we want to rent in a complex since we like all the perks it has.
It's been actually kinda rough this process FH is a big dreamer and I kinda feel like he is putting the fault on me for us not being able to buy a house right away. I have a lot of debt and I am trying to pay it off so i would rather do that first then have a huge responsbility such as a house. But thats a whole other story lol

Where are you planning to live after you're married? Well as of now we are saving money as much as we can to get a house BEFORE we get married.. We will NOT get married w/o having a house.... Therefore after we get married, we will leave in our House AkA HOME
Where do you live now? I Live at home with my mommy, daddy and my younger brother.... He rents too but lives by himself... .
And what is your vision of that place? MMm... Well We are not really 'piky' but as long as we have a house, it could be a Small ranch but as long as we have a 'the little roof' we will be happy... and that is exactly what are we aiming for now, a Ranch house...

Move near me. Houses are cheap out here in sound beach. Its all the way out in carajoland though.

Currently, fh and I live in an apt. that we share. After the wedding, the plan is to remain here for about two years, and then purchase a house. I love our current apt., but i wish we could have each lived with our parents to save money. It ***** paying rent. But living at home wasn't an option for him. He has been on his own for like 5 years, so there was no way he was going to move back home.

Right now we rent a 2br townhouse in Chapel Hill NC. You girls should all move down here, it is dirt cheap to live
If I end up liking it here enough to stay, we will definitely be buying a house down here. You can get a brand spanking new humongous house on lots of land for like 300K! I want it to look like something off of the cover of Martha Stewart with a huge wrap around white porch and a big porch swing, maybe a little vegetable garden too

We both currently live with our parents. We will most likely live in an apt in a house when we get married. Hopefully we will find that apt before we get married. My vision is not too clear. Its so hard for me even to picture us affording an apartment.....as long as I have furniture and a bed, I think we are doing pretty good.

FH and I are planning to move out to IL after we get married. My mom lives out there and it is beautiful and soooo family oriented which is perfect for us because we already have two daughters! When we get there we plan on renting for a year to make sure we love it, then planning on buying :)
We rent a house now together in Farmingdale
I vision a newly built home with a great ourdoor hangout and kids playing everywhere

We are planning to move in together into a 2br (preferably) sometime before the wedding. We'll start saving for a house then.

FH and I closed on our house in late November but only moved in a few months ago which goes to show what a HUGE pita fixing up a house is.
The plus side is we can put our style into every inch of the house which is our ultimate plan. The bathrooms we have to wait to touch until we are married but we completely renovated the entire first floor livingroom, dining room and KITCHEN. oh, the kitchen is my favorite.
The kitchen floor tiles we picked were featured on an episode of 'Bathtastic' and I was so excited like a big nerd lol.
FH and I's vision for the house is clean, modern, and inviting. We want to raise our kids here so we put alot of thought into EVERYTHING. We are even picking our furniture that will be kid friendly in the future, the house is close to the elementary school, the backyard is big, and the bedrooms are a nice size.
We don't plan to live here forever since we might outgrow it (only one full bath and two half baths) but it will be at least 10 years down the line and we will probably be sooo sad about it.
The first pic is of our house, the second two are from memorial day weekend when the town had their parade. The town feel is so adorable!
We both live at home right now and don't plan on moving in together until after we are married. The plan is to get an apartment for a couple years and then buy a house in Northport -- where we both grew up.
I kind of picture it being a fixer-upper. We really want to get a place and 'make it our own.' It makes me REALLY excited thinking about it.

FH and I live in an apartment upstate now while he finishes grad school...he will be graduating the same time as we are getting married, so we will be moving to wherever he ends up finding a job...its a total mystery right now! We would love to have a house, but we'll probably do the apartment thing for 1 or 2 more years. As far as out vision goes...we've established we want a yard for the pup...havent gotten much farther than that yet

We currently live in a home together.
Vision wise: It's somewhat what I was looking for. It's a new home so we were able to pick out the tiles, carpet, cabinets, etc. Land-wise, we don't any. So landscaping is not an issue.
In the future, I've love to own a house vs. a townhouse and have a yard. Moving back to LI or CT is a big dream, but we need to see where things settle right now....

we don't live together. he lives @ home with his parents and i live on the second floor of my parents house. we plan to rent an apartment after we are married, but not sure where yet. hopefully we will find something nice and big where we can have at least one kid and then buy a house soon, if we save enough =0)

Right now FH and I live at home he lives with his parents, I live with mine. We are trying to save up as much money as possible for the wedding and stuff so we decided to wait on moving in together and spending all that money on an apt.. Glad we waited because his parents actually offered to redo their basement into an apt for us so that we can live together and save up $ for a house!!! Im soo excited!!!
