Morning ladies!!! Here we go with day #4, hope this one is more popular than yesterday's lol

Does your wedding date have any meaning to you? Is it a special date or just a random date you picked? Explain why you chose that date.

Our date is September 8th. FH and I knew we wanted September, we discussed it right after we got engaged, we also knew we wanted to be engaged for at least a year and a half, so that brought us to sept 2012. We were weird with wanting an even #, i know weird. We also knew we wanted something early in September so could still get the amazing weather and semi summer feeling, we then decided on Saturday September 8th because we wanted a Saturday for sure. When we went to Giorgio's they had it open and we fell in love and knew we had to jump on it.

We chose our date because its FIL's anniversary.

Our date is pretty random- there's no signifigance behind it, we both wanted winter, but not around the holidays, and sounds weird but I like it because it's all even numbers

Our date has no meaning, we worked around FH's work schedule and I also didnt want to have a date that ever had any meaning to us so March 2nd it was lol.

We had 2 dates in mind. September 26 is the date we met and November 3 is when we became an 'official' couple. November 3 was a saturday, but I was afraid it would be too cold then, and Sept.26 didn't fall on a Saturday, but the 29th was the closest date to it. And I like the way September 29, 2012 sounds too. So that is how we picked our date. Its funny, I'm getting married on 9/29 and mys sister is getting married on 5/25...weird how that worked out

our date has not meaning, march 24 2012


we wanted oct 6 2012 since that would have been our aniversay but there were a few reasons we had to change it.

I wanted an early spring wedding, because I am hoping for a cool crisp day and I knew I might also get a deal if I book in April as apposed to May. Then I realized I have to start looking after Easter since I wanted a friday wedding, and a Friday in Lent is no good for my family!

So the first Friday after Easter next year was April 13! I thought that was perfect because FH's brother and SIL got married on a Friday the 13th in October 5 years ago. So I took that as good luck, and we were able to book that date.

I love our date! I also love it because the Easter flowers will still be out at the church!! hehe

Our wedding date does not have special meaning to us. We knew we wanted a September wedding on a Friday and it was the first Friday after LDW.

We don't have an official date yet, we're waiting to pick the place and work around their availability. We know we want to be engaged for a little over a year and I wanted a summer wedding. So end of August/early Sept but not Labor Day Weekend. Right now all our celebratory dates fall right around Christmas (Christmas, New Years, our first date, my bday, Valentines day) so we also knew we wanted steer away from that season for our wedding date.

We originally wanted a date with 25 b/c our original dating date is 6/25. But no luck finding something. Then we wanted May so we thought hey how about 5 de Mayo! Just b/c it seemed like a fun day and I love celebrating 5 de Mayo and we are Mexicans from Puebla. Also b/c it fell on a saturday. But with the costs adding up we settled for a late Friday May 4th wedding. So technically we are paying less and still partying until 5 de Mayo!!!! Also '25' is a significant number in our relationship . So it just soo happens that 5*4+2+0+1+2 = 25!!!!!

No real meaning. I wanted Memorial Day weekend but it was only going to give me 12 months and I really wanted more than that. We looked at 6/10/11 but before we got to book it, it was gone.

FH is a teacher, so going further into June was our best option so that he would not have to rush into work the next day, or postpone our HM til December.

July 1st was the next available Sunday at VYC, and so here we are.... 366 days out!

Not really any significant meaning-We wanted the wedding on a holiday weekend in Sept/Oct. We ultimately decided on Labor Day weekend because we weren't sure how many people actually have off for Columbus Day. We choose the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, because my FMIL Birthday is that Saturday, and we wanted our own special day!

nope, no meaning at all. if i had it my way we'd be getting married this fall but thankfully my FH talked me out of it.

june 23rd was the only sat night available at my RH and was our second choice. originally were getting married memorial day weekend but they took someone else's deposit and i had to take the date.

still nice though because a lot of big june dates in my family - dad's birthday, brothers anniversary, niece's birthday.

When we got engaged, FH and I decided that since we both love summer, the wedding would have to be May, June or July.

I decided I wanted school to be over, so I could go on our honeymoon with no worries.

We knew we wanted a Sat. night and thats the one thing FH wouldn't budge on.

I ended up falling for the 30th, because we started dating on the 10th of a month, and got engaged on the 20th of a month, so i figured 10, 20 30 haha.

Bellport had June 30 open so thats that!

We watned a Friday in April and that was one of the dates that was available. Once FH realized it was 4/20 he was sold!

Turns out that it is actually my grandfather's birthday (he died a few years ago)

no meaning but we did ask for it. we want fall/outdoor but fall is very expensive. so we asked for the sunday of columbus day cause sundays are alot cheaper :)
and since 85% of our guests will have off that monday its lie having a sat. wedding.

and anyone who doesnt have off has PLENTY of time to decide if they wanna take a day off or not

it just goes w/ our theme of discount wedding i guess lol

Originally our date was 3/9/12. We have to have it in March for a Sleu of reasons... 3,9,1,2 are a combination of mine and my brothers birthday's. My step-mom, who died a few yrs ago always played them in the lotto. They were lucky numbers!!! Butwe moved a wk later (something I wish we didn't do bc it would've been the only wedding at my hall) but we had to bc FH parents were gonna be in FL. So now the date has no meaning. LOL

FH and I knew from the beginning that we wanted out wedding to be on 10/27 because it is our anniversary!! On our wedding day we will have been together officially for 5 years. It's corny I know... but I just love it.

There is a period of time when you can't get married in the Jewish religion. I didn't want to have to wait until after its over next year, so we were going to have it the last Sunday before it starts, but that was April Fool's Day. FH and I couldn't have cared less but it really bothered my mom, so we moved it up one more week to the 25th of March.
