Re: QOTD 6/3/08
The entrance way. Everything about it from the doors to the rotunda to the spiral staircase just blew me away. It had that classical Victorian style we were looking for with a modern twist.

All the light coming in from the full side of windows/patio doors.
as soon as we pulled up I knew it was it. my RH is inside a gorgeous park and it overlooks the water, I fell in love with the view, also our cocktail hour room is all windows from cieling to floor which overlooks the water....it took my breath away. And of course the reception room is perfect, I loved everything about it
the skylight!!!
when we walked into Woodbury CC we saw the lobby & fell in love with it cause it looked so nice & clean. & then when we saw the outside, we knew that was the one.
the cocktail room..the wrap around bar! it was love at first sight! lol
The way it is decorated at Christmas time, it's my favorite time of the year, and I can't wait to have my Christmas themed wedding, complete with a decorated christmas tree in the RH and all.
That would def. be the high ceilings with the chandelier draped from fabric, and the Romeo & Juliet balcony that overlooks the room, from which I can toss my bouquet. That def. took my breath away, and I knew I had to have my reception there.
for me it was the reception room - for some reason i just could picture our wedding reception in that room - dancing under the dome....
sea grass swaying in the breeze against the bay, sparkling in the afternoon sun. i like the room itself bc it's simple and unassuming--just my kinda vibe.
The entry hall is very much what we both like, the 'modern' 20's art deco look and the great staircase and art on the main wall. It had the kind of feel we wanted and both loved it immediately. but, that's tied with the awesome CH room and the new courtyard . . . . all the elements we were looking for in one place!
It was so bad out every time I went to look at RH's. I choose my place based on where the ceremony will be outside. I just hope the weather holds up. If not then it will be in front of a fire place.
the decor was beautiful and the rooms are so big
That is easy! We wanted a place with lots of windows that didn't look too much like a hotel. We also needed a place that would be able to accomodate our smaller wedding, without a huge room filled by half as many people as it should hold. We found a great place!
The whole package at WM sealed the deal, but it was really the Conservatory that took my breath away. The glass ceiling would look beautiful with snow falling on it! We loved that room!
how gorgeous the room was ...high ceilings...huge, wide room , hand carved bars....very italian looking which i love
It was definitely the entrance way with marble staircase. I loved how the entire place looked new and well kept just like the pictures on their website. Can't wait!!!
actually all of it. The first time we looked at our RH we fell inlove. We got really lucky b/cv the day we went it was all set up for a wedding so we saw everything. Everything about it maid me picture having my wedding there. :)
