Happy Friday ladies!!!!!! Soooooooo happy it’s finally here…the week has been DRAGGING!!!!!

For the TGIF QOTD….
For the ladies that live w/ FH:How do you split the housework (cleaning, cooking, etc) or is it all you? all him?
For the ladies that do not live w/ FH: How do you think it will be?!?!?

FH and I are pretty good at splitting chores and keeping the apt neat and clean. We definitely help each other out. I will usually cook dinner when we get home from work and he’ll help me clean up after. He always does the vacuuming around our apt but I’m usually the one to dust and scrub the kitchen, bathroom, etc. I have to say we make a pretty good team!

FH knows how to cook, I don't. SO... it should be interesting learning how to cook with him over my shoulder.

Cleaning will be 50/50. I actually enjoy cleaning (meaning dusting, vacuuming, not putting away clutter!)

Well this is tricky for us... we don't live together but he does spend 99.99% of his time at my mom's house with me. Hei s really really good about doing chores... I am spoiled and lazy so he does a lot... plus it doesn't feel like 'his' place to him so he feels weird being lazy (unike me)... haha...

When we have our own place though I am positive it will be 50/50... when I lived on my own in the past I was like a clean freak so I know I have it in me

hahaha. no such thing in my house.lol

i do basicly everything. i cook dinner every night after work. prep coffee and lunch for the next day. all the laundry and cleaning.

fh is supposed to be in charge of taking out the trash but he 'forgets' lol
he does all the yard work and when it snows he shovels. thats about it.

but to be fair to fh when we bought the house i told him i would take care of all this since he pays the mortagage.

We don't live together, but we've talked about it. Since we both maintain our own apartments, it's clear as day what kind of chores we each like and which ones we hate.

I love to cook, so I know that I'll be the one cooking for the most part. This is fine with me, since I look at it as a hobby and not a chore.

He doesn't mind doing the dishes.

I hate to vacuum; he doesn't mind. He hates to mop, I like to. (Weird, yeah)

I hate dusting but he has wicked allergies so I'll be doing that. No problem.

He likes to keep things neat and organized, which is great for things like bills, insurance info, etc. I'm terrible at that.

We both have cats, so any cat-related chores are pretty much in the category of whoever sees/smells it first, cleans it. (ie., litter, hairballs, cat puke...)

FH does all the cooking and cleans up a little bit, just cosmetically tho. he also washes the dishes cause I hate doing that, and if it was up to me we will have a mountain of rotting dishes
I do the laundry, the once a week cleaning of the apt
shopping we usually do together

messing up the apt we do together, but mostly FH who leaves his clothes, shoes, water glasses and garbage anywhere and in the oddest places

the last 2 times i went food shopping he came with me... but that is pretty much a first... i always did it alone...

Neither FH or I are clean freaks. I do a LOT more cleaning than he does, but it doesn't usually bother me. Sometimes I have to get on him to do the most basic stuff though. And one thing I won't do is his laundry- he *claims* I shrink his clothes but now that he's been doing his own laundry he sees that he shrinks his own clothes and so does the laundromat!!

I think on one of our first 'dates' we went food shopping together... So yea, we do food shopping together too and enjoy it!

Fortunately, FH cooks cuz I don’t. I’m the cleaner, but the ONLY thing I don’t do cleaning wise is make the bed. I HATE doing that, I don’t know why. Something with tucking the sheets under the mattress gets on my nerves

We don't live together but I really think we will make a great team....

FH is a neat freak so I know he will be willing to help out....He loves cooking so atleast I don't have to really worry about that. He doesn't mind putting the dishes in the dishwasher either...PHEW!

I am pretty sure the cleaning is up to me, since I am annoying about it.....

as long as he can handle the outside work, thats good enough. I don't think I will be too good at mowing lawns and trimming bushes!

We love going foodshopping together too!!!!

After 4yrs we have it down pretty well. He cooks, I am totally incompetent in the kitchen, I do laundry, we both vacuum, I do the bathroom (don't know how that became my job) we both take out garbage. He mows the lawn, I feed our furballs, he does litter boxes and everything else we do together.

Oh yes and Sun is food shopping day which we do together
