Hi Everyone! Happy Tuesday!! My FMIL came back from Ohio from periodic visits..So this made me think for todays QOTD..
How was it meeting your FH's family for the first time? Any horror stories? Really nice stories?
His parents are separated so I met his dad that lives here first, I was a bit hesitant but thank goodness everything went well, he's a serious guy but very sweet. Then I met his mom a couple of months later in Ohio on our way to a Jets vs Colts game, which went well as well, but I'm not too close with her since she's hardly here. But thank goodness my mom stepped up as a mom for him, and he loves her just as much as I love her, which makes me super happy! Then meeting his brothers & GF's were good too..but it took a few times of hanging out for me to get close to the gf's and now they are like my BFF's. No horror stories & nothing out of the ordinary that I can think of.

FH (and his whole family) live in Ohio and Indiana. I've never met the middle brother and his son and probably won't until the day of but I've met everyone else. His parents are divorced and his father is remarried so there are two FMILs and one FFIL. I met his mom first and she was downright rude to me to the point where she actually told FH to get rid of me. Now that we're engaged, she tells him that she always knew I was the one for him. Anyway, my future stepson came next. He began calling me super mommy right away and went into the pool with me despite his phobia of water. I might be more excited to be a stepmom to him than a wife to FH. FFIL and FSMIL came next and I honestly can't say enough wonderful things about them. They make me feel so comfortable when I go over there to the point that when they both came to NY, I went into the city to meet up with them to have lunch. Then came FBIL and FSIL and their two children. I actually met them when I had the flu so I don't remember much from the actual first meeting except for that the four of them, FSILs parents, FFIL, FSMIL, FH, and my future stepson went out for pizza. I then met FBIL and FSIL and their two children a few months later and their four year old daughter told me that I'm pretty and that she wants me to be her aunt. From the people that I've met, I honestly can't wait to be part of their family despite the first time I met FMIL. I'm also beyond anxious and excited to meet the other FBIL and his son and hope that it's before the day of because that could get awkward... especially since he's a groomsman.

The best is having holidays together!! I love splitting holidays..and with my FH being Greek, I sometimes get to celebrate Easter 2 times!!
I love the holiday's too! FH's family does Christmas eve and mine does Christmas day. Neither of our immediate families do Thanksgiving because everyone goes somewhere so we go to my cousin's out in the hamptons and it's kind of like our own little tradition!! We do Easter morning with his family and nieces then out to my families for a day out east!
Aww that's nice!! We do Christmas eve with my family & do Christmas day with his. Thanksgiving is always all over the place too..either at his dad's, my sister's inlaws or his brothers house

HORROR!! Sort of anyway.
So he introduces me to his parents, and his dad is all smiles and happy. His mom is giving me the dirtiest looks I ever seen! I was mortified. We go to his bedroom and I go 'Why was your mom giving me dirty looks?' and he assures me that she wasn't and he said 'that's just how she looks'. I still wasn't convinced, but I let it go.
The next time I see him he tells me that after I left his house his mother was asking him if I was still in high school.....
Just to put in persepective FH was 30 at the time! His mom thought I was a high schooler!

The first time I met fmil I had a hickey on my neck and didn't know it. And she had to have seen it. But anyway she still loves me. But I was so mad at fh when I saw it

I loved them right away!! We were going on our second date, but it was his sister in laws birthday and they were having a cake for her. He asked me if I minded stopping at his house to sing happy birthday. I was sooo nervous, but they were amazing!

LOL My story isn't nearly as cute as anyone else's, but it's pretty funny!!
The first time I met FH's stepfather was...the morning after the first time we...you know. FH and his mom/stepfather share a wall between their rooms, and I guess his stepfather heard what happened. Problem is, FH's parents didn't know he'd been seeing me. So when FH walked out of his bedroom to get some water, and his stepfather was sitting at the table having breakfast, he said to FH 'So, I guess you and (ex-gf) are back together.'
And then I had to leave, and pass right by him, so FH introduced us very quickly.
Sooooo funny.

I met Michael's mom & stepdad without warning on our way to an Islanders Game. He was like come in & meet my parents haha. It was fine. I met FFIL & FSIL at dinner. I was more nervous meeting FSIL then anyone.
Needless to say everyone is great & I love them all :) We all have a great relationship :)
I met his mom first randomly in the driveway of the house. It was a little awkward because I wasn't prepared... and I don't remember how I met his dad.
I had already known FBIL from when I worked with him when I was in HS. and I met his sister when she came home for christmas and she was SUPER excited to meet me lol
I really love his family even when FBIL and FSIL drive me crazy. I'm an only child so I really don't know how sibling relationships work.
