We are waiting until 2010 because of money and also my age...I want to be a bit older when i get married so 2010 i will be turning 25. I would like to get settled in my career and start to build up that before we get married.
my favorite thing about 2010 is you girls!! I look foward to coming on here and chatting with everyone!!!

Re: QOTD 6/7
we chose 2010 because neither of us ever wanted to feel rushed and we wanted time to be in better places in our lives before we got married, better jobs, living together, etc. my favorite part of being a 2010 bride is the anticipation and the time i've got to plan. my least favorite part is how long i have to plan, lo.

we picked 2010 for a few reasons. my brother got engaged a few days after me and he is getting married this year. and in 2009 my moh is the moh is her sisters wedding and i didnt want to have steal her away from that. we also need to save up the money!
my favorite thing is that i have so much time to plan that i'm not stessing about anything (yet) and my least favorite is waiting!!

Re: QOTD 6/7
Well FH and I wanted to save enough money for the wedding and a house. My brother also got engaged three weeks after I did and he is grting married Oct 09 and that makes it my 4th wedding on 09 montha apart from each other. My favorite part about being a 2010 bride is that all the girls in 2010 are great and not catty like I see on the other chats. I love how helpful everyone has been and how we really respect eachother's opinions.

Great question!!
I decided to be a 2010 bride because: we needed to save money and I would be finished with school by then.
My favorite thing about being a 2010 bride is: knowing I have alot of time to plan!! Getting to wear the 'bride to be' shirts for a full 2+ years!! and of course all the 10 girls on here
My least favorite part is knowing I have to wait 2+ years

Re: QOTD 6/7
We decided on 2010 because we were looking at getting married Dec '09 and January 9th fell on a Saturday. We wanted to get married on a 9 and it wasnt that big of a deal to wait another month. So it worked out well...I love the idea of having a long engagement- which gives us time to save and really enjoy the planning. Nothing is rushed! I really dont have a problem with 2010 at all...I think I am completly content with it!

Re: QOTD 6/7
Originally we were thinking 2011 because I don't graduate until May of 2010. Then I started thinking about it and I really didn't want to until 2011 so we settled on the October 2010. At least by this time I will have had a couple of months to settle into my job. This also helps when it comes to saving as well, we basically just live off of his income and save all of mine, so essentially I work like a dog in the summer, pay off our debts and bank the rest. The waiting is definitely tough but the no stress feeling is priceless. Best thing about 2010 would be you ladies, since I'm the first of my friends to be getting married, I cannot really communicate everything to them, so I come on here...

Re: QOTD 6/7
originally we picked 2010 cuz we wanted to get married on valentines day and it fell on a sunday. we got engaged feb 08 and feb 09 was too soon so we pushed it to 2010. we ended up going with feb 20th instead though, plus we get to save money
my favorite thing is i wont feel so stressed with the money and it gives us time to research for the best prices and what not
my least favorite is coming on this site and reading about all the girls who are gettin married so soon and knowing i have to waitttttt

Re: QOTD 6/7
We chose 2010 because my future BIL got engaged a few weeks before us and decided on 2009. I wanted to get married in the summer so I didnt wanna book my wedding to be 1 - 2 months before them, also we have a bunch of weddings in 2009. I dont mind the idea of a long engagment. We can save money to help pay and I can look around for stuff for the wedding. I really dont mind waiting even though it feels like forever away

Re: QOTD 6/7
We wanted to get married on our anniversary and in 2010, our anniversary falls on a day that is convenient to get married. (Our wedding is on a Friday.) Also, We needed time to plan and save.
I pretty neutral on the favorite and least favorite thing. I'm glad that we can keep our anniversay the same and it doesn't really bother me that we planned in advance for this. We've been together over 8 years so what's a little longer to wait?!

Re: QOTD 6/7
Why we chose 2010:
1. FH graduates with his bachelor degree in 2009. We didn't want to have to plan a wedding while he was looking for a better job. We wanted him to have the job for some time before the wedding.
2. We're looking to buy a house, so this gives us time to save for both the wedding and the house.
3. You guys are awesome! So many wonderful ideas
Why I don't like being a 2010 bride:
1. The waiting.
2. So many choices because I have a little extra time to plan.... I give myself so many choices.. and it's getting confusing!

Re: QOTD 6/7
decided on 2010 b/c of the $$ thing.
Pro: I love knowing I have time to plan everything out (which I am known to do haha) and i'm not rushed so that's the plus of being a 10'er.
Cons: ~ Knowing I have time to plan everything out (which I am known to do haha) and i'm not rushed so that's the minus of being a 10'er. I'm an overthinker and this just gives me too much time lol.
~The waiting game. Technically we can do it 09, but I want to feel more comfortable financially and with the decisions we make.
~My grandma who has been asking me & my FH for years now if we were engaged probably won't make it to the wedding for health reasons :(. Here's a woman with dimentia (sp?) but sure remembers the engagement/wedding part lol.

Re: QOTD 6/7
We wanted enough time to save to actually pay for it, and maybe have some left over for a down payment on a house. My mom also would have flipped out if i chose a 2009 date as she already thinks i'm too young to be getting married (helloooo im gonna be 26 when i get married, and she was 19 when she got married!)
pro: gives us enough time to save up more money- and i get to chat w/ the 2010 girls! con: seems like forever away!

Re: QOTD 6/7
Well my parents said I had to wait a few months after my sister graduated college so they can save some more money. Originially I was thinking Nov 09 but we saved so much money by waiting two months.
Like everyone else, I hate the waiting. But time is flying!
