I'll post my story a bit into the thread so as to not distract from the question
* * * I posted the QOTD on Brides Helping Brides earlier in the day – I didn’t know to post here – so I’m sorry ladies - Cut me a break -learning curve anyone?? I'm new to this BOTW business - there isn't a manual (yet) hahaha but I apprecaite the insider info and thanks to Angn Shaun I now know to post the QOTD on this board. I look forward to meeting new friends and fellow 2011 brides. toast:

we had gone to Disney and we went to visit Downtown Disney one night. They had a jewelry store and i fell in love with a chain and mothe rof pearl pendant. but it was $800 not including the matching earrings. FH really wanted to buy them for me, but i wanted to spend it on other vacation stuff that week. when we got back from the Vacation, we looked online everyone (they have an onlinewebsite) but could not find that exact neckalce and pendant. (this was all in september)
in november, in one of those beautiful november days we had, we went to the cloisters museum. he had never been there but it is one of my fav museums. so we walk around and they have a huge veranda and outside garden that leads to a massive balcony. we go out there and i was taking some pictures of the views of the two bridges and NJ and he was like (he was behind me) i got you something.
so i turn around and he has this little pouch in his hand and he starts to pull out a necklace - that has not been clasped. so i squealed and told him i couldn't believe he had found the necklave from Disney! So then he keeps pulling the necklace out and he was like oops! it fell. so he reaches into the pouch and said i couldn't find the necklace, but i found this - and it was my ring!!!!
i had no idea it was coming and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
i said YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FH has proposed to me like 10 times already. Unfortunately I told him I wanted to pick my ring out and then proceeded to change it 10 times. yeah. anyway...lol
When I have my OFFICIAL ring I'll let you know the FINAL proposal details. lol

Hey ladies!! Okay sooo here goes:
Back then (1.5 years ago) I was working in the city and FH was working in Jersey, so he calls me up at work and says 'hey soooo you want to go see the tree' and I was totally for it except that I thought we had other plans that weekend and he was all like 'I'll come into the city' so then keeping in mind that my office party was that same week - I said 'Give me one good reason why you can come to my Holiday Office Party as my plus one but you want to drive in to see the same tree we saw last year' needless to say he ended up agreeing and complained about workload but said I had a point (he pretty much had to hahaha) this is the first in the list of funny little obstacles.
Soooo it really worked out bc I was all dressed up for the party and when we got to the tree he mentioned going to go see the TOP of the Rock in Rockafeller Center and not knowing any better I said 'ehhh I've seen it already' he had this look on his face that was priceless so then i said 'If you really want to go baby - I haven't been there with you so c'mon' (I didn't want to ruin the fact that he was actiually being uuber romantic - chalk it up to the city lights) and then I remembered that my friend worked there so he could get us in for free - I started making phonecalls and FH was like I want to do this for you so can you just let me pay for it... and besides if your friend comes - we'll have to have a drink with him and we'll probably be late to the office party (good point)...
Sooo then we start walking to the line and I notice a JCrew which had the winter coat I wanted for christmas and I said 'omg lets go see if they have it bc then you don't have to pay for shipping - this must be fate!' Me & that jacket! hahahaah I didn't know what fate had in store for me that night a FH not a jacket lol. So ofcourse he says we'll check it on the way out bc we couldnt miss the time for being in line (I never waited in line before so I didn't think he was making it up and that was the end of that).
We get in line and I start applying blush and he looks at me all bugg eyed and is like 'why are you doing your makeup' which i thought was a little weird - poor thing must have been nervous out of his mind - and I explained, I forgot to apply blush back at the office and when I came with my freind I didn't get to take the photo shot since it was afterhours and I wanted one with him - so he knows that ofcourse I have to doll meself up. When we got to the place to sit and take the souvenir picture, he just kept walking (mission on his mind) and I was yelling for him to come back and take the photo but by then someone else had sat down...
So we get to the TOP of the Rock and we're looking out at the city - and there was this glass section in front of us and I said 'I remember there being no glass here- there has to be another level hmmm and he says 'Isn't this a beautiful view' starring straight at me and by the time I turned to say awww honey - he had his hand in his pocket - which got stuck with the box - he dropped to his knees and in the same fashion he asked me out - he said 'I would like to please know if you would Marry Me' and popped the box open with the ring.
I was a crying mess - and then I looked up and saw the other level lol and forgot to say yes!! I was soo shocked, I was all like, I should have worn waterproof mascara and omg are we still going to the party.... and then of course I said YES YES YES! We had an awesome time at the office party, partied the night away and even got sent home in a car service. I didn't get the jacket but I got a Fiancee

aww I so ruined every proposal ant's tried. lol he's warned me to behave or I'm not getting my ring EVER. yeah yeah. He cant live without me.
That's so something I'd do and so cute!! Your FH tried so hard and was so patient!
But damn..I bet that jacket would have been nice! lol

Fh brought me to Central Park. We went to the zoo and then we walked around. We ended up at Shakespeare's garden overlooking a pond. We stood there for a little while and talked. He told me to turn around and he was on one knee and said that he wouldn't want to be here with anyone else but me and if I would marry him. Obviously I said yes! Lol After we went to the sex museum hahaha and then out to dinner. The best part was that he planned the entire thing all by himself which never happens lol

FH's proposal started a month before the actual proposal took place.
It started on my birthday. He planned a series of cards that went like this:
Card 1: on the bathroom counter when I got out of the shower. Told me that we were taking a trip to San Diego.
Card 2: At Lunch. Told me that he made an appt with the wedding coord at the Hotel Del for while we were in town.
Card 3: When I got home from work: Told me that we were going to the San Diego Zoo
Card 4: Right before dinner: Told me that we were staying at the Hotel Del Coronado!
Card 5: At dinner: Told me that he was taking me to see The Lion King.
Fast forward a month. We're relaxing on our first day at the Del. Enjoying our beautiful ocean front suite that he booked (he's so good). The sun was setting and he suggested we go outside on the balcony to watch. It was getting chilly so I got a robe to wear. I got out on the patio and there was a card on the table outside.
It read on the envelope: Card 6. I was like 'what is this?'
I opened the envelope and it was a card with the little black and white kids. I opened the card and handwritten on the bottom it said 'Will you marry me?'
When I looked up he was on his knee. I cried so much that I almost forgot to answer.
Love him.

he took me to my favorite restaurant don Riccardo's in babylon village!! i knew he bought the ring bc he went with my aunt n mom but i thought he was paying it off and i never knew when exactly he was going to do it. so at dinner that night i actually brought it up lol and still never thought anything. we never get desert bc im usualy so stuffed i cant eat it. so then i see the manager walk over to us with this basket...and he put it on our table and there was a desert and THE RING BOX INSIDE! i starting crying and i kept saying is this a joke..i was in shock like i couldnt take it all in. and of course everyone at the resteruant got up and clapped n i was all embarrassed cause i m like omg lol...he even went to put it on the wrong hand bc he was nervous and was like is she happy crying or sad crying haha!!

I knew about the ring, so the day of my bday he said lets go have drink as a bar near our house (our first date place) so i had already suspected it and we invited friends. At dinner, i was trying to rush everything, becuase i couldnt wait to get to the bar, so he orders me a cake and says hey wheres the cam, when he turns ont he cam it says REPLACE battery, so hes like LIKE OMGGGG why is there no battery in the cam, and im just like what ever (im thinking who cares, everyone at the bar will have a cam, and he knew i wanted a picture or recording of the moment) so he just keeps giving me this crazy look, like i cant believe there is no battery here. But im still like whatever.. let me eat my cake fast, so he asked me to make a wish and i did. then he pulled ou the ring and said did i make your wish come true? i was actually super shockkkk becuz i was waiting for that moment later on in the evening, so im glad he did it earlier since i really did get surprised, then i put a napkin over my face and started cying crying..

I knew it was coming because he was home on leave and we already discussed it would be coming. So my story is not all that great lol..
but his parents took us to Mohegan Sun for a Christmas gift. We were gambling then went out to dinner. I'm not really the gambling type so I got bored pretty quick. I said let's go up to the room and relax and go back down later. Well we got back to the room and I was complaining about something and went into the bathroom. When I came out he was just standing in the middle of the room pretty much looking like he was going to pass out. Which I did not take notice to because I was to busy complaining bustling around the room totally not paying attention to him. Then he grabbed my arm and I knew what was coming next.
