So we're going to our tasting today! We're really excited. The reviews on here about the food at The Metropolitan are stellar, and we can't wait! I was at a wedding there back in 2007, and I remember the cocktail hour, but unfortunately don't remember the entrees - a bit too many Cosmopolitans for this chick ;))

Therefore, let me ask you...

Are you a Beef, Chicken or Fish person?

I'm normally a beef person at a wedding. I've had some really good ones (My cousin's wedding in PA had an incredible NY Strip with a cabernet reduction) and some really bad ones (overdone fatty prime rib at a place I won't mention).

But today, I'm hoping to try the duck. It probably won't be one of our 3 entree choices for our guests, but The Metropolitan offers duck as well, and I'm going to ask if I can have the duck on our wedding. I LOVE LOVE LURVE duck (Three Village Inn had an incredible one at my other cousin's wedding 2 years ago).

Which one are you?

I am more of a steak and potatoes kind of girl lol FH usually orders one of the other two and I like to sneak in a taste of his.... on occasion I've had dinner envy, but after the tasting at my venue I know all 3 are amazing... I'm thinking of telling them we want all 3!! hahahaha

It really depends.. I am totally a filet person, but if that's not the beef entree I usually go with the chicken. You should ask the metropolitan if they can add a 4th entree to your list. The milleridge cottage gave us 5 options because my dad was persistent haha and one of them is the duck

I typically go for chicken, then fish (if it's a salmon), then beef. I hate beef, but a lot of times I don't like the chicken or fish option at weddings so I'll go with the beef then. I think chicken rollatini is one of the options at my venue, which I LOVE, so I'll probably order that at my wedding!

I usually go with the fish, especially if it's salmon. FH goes with the beef so I sneak tastes of his all the time too!

I'm a beef girl but would pick chicken next. I do not eat fish or shrimp (I wish I liked it) but I do LOVE all other shellfish. Weird I know :)

Hmm.. It really all depends on my mood but I am normally a chicken girl although at a wedding I normally try to get something I don't have often (that I cook at home) so I would probably get the beef option.

This is such a cute question! I eat all three depending on what mood I am in and how they are prepared. Not a huge salmon person so if the fish is shrimp or something I will get that, otherwise I default to chicken. If its a boring chicken dish that I can make at home I will go with beef lol. FH almost always orders the fish.

I love shrimp so fish then chicken. But when I am in the mood for beef filet it is :)

I always go for the steak option. My second option would be fish.. While I love chicken, I usually don't get it at weddings since I can make it on my own. FH loves duck, so that will be one of the entrée choices at our wedding.

I eat chick most days of the week, so when I'm at a wedding I tend to go for the Fish (since FH hates fish so I rarely make it at home) if it's not an option I care for I go for the beef, love me some steak lol.

My FH loves Duck too, our hall has it but we haven't decided if we want to have it as an option yet.

Usually I'll get the chicken since beef is always a little undercooked for my liking.
We have chicken wellington as passed hors dourves (sp?) at our wedding. I can't waiiiiiit.

I typically always go for the beef option or the chicken option. I'm SOOO picky about my fish that I rarely go for it. Although I had AMAZING shrimp at Lombardi's on the Sound this past september at my friends wedding.

FH and I ALWAYS do a swap. He'll order a beef and I'll order the shrimp (if theres no shrimp I usually do beef too, unless it's a whitefish!) and then we share with each other! Surf and Turf!!

I don't eat seafood AT ALL. The only time I ever did was when we were in Hawaii because I was certain that it was too fresh to kill me. I love steak and chicken!
