I have been very lucky that we have no one telling us who we have to invite to our wedding. I have read many stories on here regarding that and I feel for you all!! I have however been very surprised by some people who were insulted because they didn't get invited! Which brings me to me question of the day...

Was there anyone who expected to be invited to your wedding that completely surprised you?

My biggest surprise was my ex-husband!!! We were sitting at my son's baseball game and he asked me if he was getting an invite. I almost fell off the bleachers! I know you don't know the stories of me and him but to put it simply he is a lying, cheating, jerk who I would be grateful to be rid of in my life but seeing as we have 2 kids together I play nice. Why on earth who he think he'd be invited??

FH works for Con Ed and alot of his customers he has known for years. Many of them have asked if they were going to be invited. ummmmm- just because he reads you meter and he is pleasant to you doesnt mean you are invited to our wedding. Most of these people are elderly. So to be nice he tells them that they can come to the church if they want. So I will be having all these random old people seeing me get married

but to answer the question, there wasnt anybody that was expecting an invite that surprised me.

At my cousin's wedding 2 weeks ago, I met people I have never seen/heard about in my life who told me they are so excited to come to my wedding. Umm...who are you???

Yes, I was shocked when my parents wanted me to invite my sisters DHs brother and his wife, I may have said 3 words to them guess what they RSVPed NO!

Quite a few people at work asked me if they were getting invited! One weirdo approached me more than once asking me and each time I told him, 'while i'd love to invite everyone I csnt so im only inviting very close friends.' The last time he asked me he acted like he was very offended and walked away saying, 'I understand - we are not real friends anyway!' Ugh!
