**QOTD** 7/28

I had a hard time sleeping, since today I have to go to court to fight some bogus ticket (passing on the right). This may be wedding related, because if charged, it's over a $200 fine and 3 points on my license. I've never had a point on my license and I will seriously cry if my cop shows up.

I figured I'd ask;

What excuse have you tried to use to get out of receiving a ticket from a policemen?

Sorry about the ticket!! That $ucks!

As for me, my main tactic to get out of tickets is to cry and beg for forgiveness. It's worked a few times. Once I got stopped for going 110 in a 65, and the cop gave me a ticket for no seatbelt. Thank God!! I probably would've lost my license otherwise! The last time I got a ticket, a few months after I got my court summons, a letter arrived saying that the case had been dropped. No explanation. I didn't complain!!

I got pulled over for speeding he said I was doing 60 in a 30 but I told him I hadn't been feeling well and wanted to get home.

FH got pulled over for being on his cell and told the cop he was checking on me cause I was sick (no lie there).

I have never tried to get out of one because I get really awkward and just say okay to everything and then just pay the stupid thing. My guy friend who is a cop though told me that he once pulled over a chick who was speeding and she told him she was having major stomach issues and he let her go because he felt so uncomfortable so, hey, it's worth a shot next time anyone gets pulled over!

Since I was with my ex since I was 19 and he was a cop I always get out of tickets. I actually have a little badge that the wives get. I probably should have given it back once we got divorced but I didn't!

I got pulled over a couple weeks ago for talking on my cell phone. When he asked who I was talking to, I said work and told him I'm a social worker and am on call 24/7 for emergencies (the job part IS true, lol).

I was really on the phone with one of BM's from California

I've used 'I'm sick' and faked dry heaves hahahaaha totally bought it.

Now I say that my cousin is a PO. I've only used this once, it worked but not sure if it was that, or he was flirting w me. This PO actually said 'wow, it seems sooo warm in ur car'. 'Its sooo cold out here, brrrr'. Hahaha I actually looked to make sure he was really a PO and not some loon. Oh aaaaand I almost forgot, that same encounter, I also said, 'i'm on my way to my therapist, my grandpa just died last week.' Which actually was true, but I don't think he belived that. Either way, no ticket!

I don't drive much, but the few times I've been in the car when someone is pulled over, I usually talk to the officer and show him or her my dad's DEA card and minishield. He's retired. It always works

I was very good at getting out of tickets back in the day. One time I was speeding down a main road by my house when I got pulled over. I knew it would be expensive so I started to cry. The cop was young so I told him I'm having such a bad night bc I just broke up with my boyfriend after finding out he cheated on me with my best friend(NOT true). He asked where I was going so I told him I was meeting my other friends in the parking lot down the block (that was the first thing that came to me). He also asked why I was swerving(i have no idea bc I wasn't drinking) I looked at the curb and I saw puddles so I told him I didn't want the puddles to splash. Anywho, I did NOT get a ticket!
