(acutally, today is my friday because i took tomorrow off since tomorrow night we have our first night of precana and onto Saturday)


Last night, I was watching some episodes of Say Yes to the Dress and it brought me to my question for today....

When you bought your wedding dress, did you envision yourself walking down the aisle to greet FH? Do you think FH will love your dress as much as you do? What do you think his reaction will be when he first sees you?

When I first bought my dress, I never had that 'crying all over the place moment' I knew i really liked my dress and that it looked great on me. My whole family loved it. But I never really thought about walking down the aisle to meet FH in it. Months after I bought the dress, i got the jitters some of us have and started having literal nightmares that FH would hate my dress. I kept telling FH about this and he just laughed it off but he eventually realized i wasn't joking and I was really worried about it.
Finally, he suggested I show him pictures of random dresses and to throw my dress in the mix. he would give me his honest opinion on the selections.
He liked most of them and then he started trying to guess which it was, and making it a joke - which, made me feel better for some reason. Unknowingly to FH, he loved my dress the most and gave it his highest ranking.
I am thrilled i secretly know he loves my dress and now i can't wait to put it on for him!

Yes I did see myself walking down the Aisle to greet my Fh... I saw myself with my Mom & Dad.... I think FH will think I look Gorgeous... So Beautiful... He will love the dress. His first reaction could b different thigns... he could either get teary eye or see me with a BIG smile... he will be speechless

Yes, that was the main vision I had. I imagined him seeing me walking down the aisle and thinking I'm the most beautiful person in the world. That's how the dress made me feel. I'm pretty sure FH is going to be in tears and just be in awe. The dress I chose is a style that I know he will love so I can't waiiiiiiiiiiiit for him to see me in it :)

I absolutely pictured myself walking down the aisle to him when I put my dress on! I LOVE my dress, and I think he will love me in it. Everyone who has seen my dress says how it is 'so me,' so can't help but think he will love my dress because he loves me!

I have envisioned walking down the aisle to him in my dress and I am hoping he loves it...

He was once talking about a dress on one of the shows about how it's accents were gold and he didn't like that... my accents are not dark gold but they are definitely noticeable... but i don't think he will notice once the day comes. Then I started to freak out and had to get all my pics together to compare it to this dress i saw on the show... I'm certain it doesn't resemble that dress at all..

I can't wait to walk down the aisle to him

i don't think i envisioned myself walking the aisle. i was just staring at myself too much and thought, damn this is dress is nice

but yes, i def think FH will love the dress. I'm hoping that it'll be a shock for him b/c he knew for a while that i wanted mermaid but i went the complete opposite direction in style. i guess the second dress won't be such a shock for him.

as far as his reactions, he's just going to smile - i cant get a tear out of that boy. i want to see his jaw drop but that's going to happen

OMG! we have wedding dress nightmares together!

FH actually went shopping with me, mom and MOH! They all loved it and mom and MOHstarted bawling, so I went with that one.

I didn't want DH to envision me in something and I didn't want to show up in something that he didn't love.

I never pictured myself walking down the aisle, but I did picture how easy it will be to move around in the dress!

i think FH will love the dress just as much as i do!!! i think he will be (hopefully) be speechless when he first sees me in it walking down the aisle... i always ask him if he is going to cry and hes like prob not haha so just for that i hope he does get a little teary eyed!!

but when i bought the dress my thoughts did revolve around FH and how much he would love me more and think how beautiful i am in that dress... and once i tried it on i knew it was the one

Absolutely! When I finally put it on, my first thought was 'I'm so happy this dress is finally on my body after all the searching for it!'. And then as I stared more into the mirror while people were checking out in the room and commenting, I just thought about me stepping through the doors of the church and seeing FH waaaaaaaay down the other end of the aisle and thinking about that first moment he see's me and doing that little smirk of a smile he does that drives me nuts! That was the clincher her me and I say yes right then and there.

Do you think FH will love your dress as much as you do?
I do think he will love it. Everyone who knows me and has seen the dress on me immediately says 'That dress is so 'you' - it's like it was made for you to wear' and I agree. I couldn't see myself in anything else.

What do you think his reaction will be when he first sees you?
flashing me that little smirk he does and he will probably be just as eager for the long walk down the aisle to be done as I am so we can get the show on the road!

When I saw myself for the first time in my dress I had chills and cried. My mom cried, my grandma cried. I definately could see myself walking down the aisle to FH in it. I still daydream about it. I think FH will love my dress as much as I do. I'm not sure what his reaction will be. He cries at movies or at things that are touching, but I don't know if he'll cry or not. I kinda hope he doesn't, cause if he does, I'll loose it!

i've literally had nightmares where we are at the wedding and FH looks at me and says, 'you chose that? or i really don't like that dress' and i wake up and my pillow is soaked and my eyes are all wet from crying!

I actually tried on my dress the first time I went shopping, but didn't think it was the one. After four more shopping trips, I decided that I loved it.



I think FH will like it too

i havent found my dress yet

technically I am waiting until I get my ring back from the jewelers before I do that. i want to feel complete. I know what I want, just have to actually go and try it on

My FH had sent me pics of dresses he likes. He actually picked me out the same dress monkeemuck bought!

Yes i keep telling you hes the straighest gay man ever!

I know whatever i choose he'll love and he'll cry. Hes emotional.

Plus i rarely wear dresses. Combined w my hair and makeup done it will be a whole new dimension for him to deal with.
