Good Morning!! I am really excited today because I am going to see JOHN MAYER tonight at Jones Beach. Anyone else going??? I have seen him every time he came to NY.....
Sooooo.. you won't be seeing me on as much today because I have class and then i will be getting ready for the concert. I am going to post the TQOTD at 2:00!
So here is the question: Since I have been watching Platinum weddings, I got inspired to ask this question. IF you had unlimited funds, would you spend all that money on the wedding like those other girls do OR would you use it for a house or the future?? If you WOULD spend all that money, which part of the wedding would you spend the MOST on???

If I had the money, I would definitely spend it on the RH! I love where I'm getting married, but would do so much more extravagant if i had extra cash! But I'm sure FH would wanna spend it on a huge house!

Ok.. so here is my answer. I think that I would spend a little more on my wedding than I am right now just got get a few things that i really want. If i had unlimited funds then i would get linens for my tables and chairs, I would have a band for the cocktail hour and a DJ for my reception and I would pay for all of my BM's dresses.
I think to spend THAT much money on flowers (that are going to die in a few days), a cake (that is going to be eaten), and all that other CRAZY stuff they do is INSANE. I would much rather spend that money on a beautiful house.

We would use the money for a house....FH would never let me spend anymore than we are already spending on the wedding (whic isnt even that much). And I think he might be right. Its only a day and the house is our future.

i definitely think that most of those weddings are just ridiculous excess. I can have whatever i want now & wouldnt do it. I definitely think i would take that extra money & save it for our old age or purchase our third home perferrably in the Italian Riviera!

Yayyyy I'm going too!! I'm dragging FH and he is not happy about it.
I def would NOT spend all that money on the wedding. I mean I'd still probably double my budget but even then it would be less than $100k. I'd much rather have a beautiful house to enjoy forever than a really nice wedding that will last one day.

Even if I had a ton of money I wouldn't want to spend so much on the wedding. I would choose a house. But if I had to choose something to spend a lot on it would be the hall, food and decorations. I would want to WOW my guests.

Since I am pretty happy with how my wedding is turning out on a $40,000 budget, I would use the money for a house definitely!!! Why waste your money on something that is not an investment for the future???

I think i have spent enough on this wedding... Since i already have a house... i think i would take the extra money and spend 2 months in europe... just traveling & enjoying life with the dh

If we had more money I would have spent more on the RH and the Photographer!! But I would never spend all our money on the Wedding Day. I would spend it on a house and getting us out of debt and saving for our future children's college educations!
Our LIFE together is so much more important than our Wedding DAY!

FH and I already have a house in line for us so I guess I would pretty much keep everything the same. I am happy with everything we have now.

i would have a nicer wedding then we are now, i'd probably increase the budget by another $50,000 but i wouldn't go crazy like they do. i'd rather have a really nice house and car. i'd invest a lot of the money for the future.

I think I would use the money for a summer home and to pay for my doctorate when I eventually go for it. I love my wedding exactly as it is.

I dont think the girls on Platium Wedding have to pick between spending the money on the wedding or on a house.... I'm sure their parents will pay for that too
If this was me.... I would put a little more towards my wedding and use the rest for a house.

If I had an unlimited budget then i will have a wedding that reflects an unlimited budget w/ all the bells and whistles. I probably wouldn't know where to begin.
Of course, having that amount of MULA i would have my house and everything else
