I can honestly say, i'd be as cheap as i am right now... lol i'd rather have a gorgeous house that lasts a whole lot longer than a wedding...

I would definitely pay off our mortgage before spending it on a wedding. I don't care how much money I have, I could never spend it for some over the top outrageous wedding.

honestly...when i strted all this wedding stuff i was trying to stay on a 'low' budget since we were paying for it. i always wanted a winter wedding so that helped me out a lot regardless. when i found WM i fell in love and even if i had unlimited funds i feel like i would still get married there...its just totally me...that old world homey feel. i am so not into a marble and mirror catering hall and that is why i truly believe that even if ihad millions i would stay with my original pick. also...the diy stuff that has saved me money has made me even more excited and proud of my day...its given it a more personal touch and when my big day comes I think those little things will be more special to me because i made the programs and i made a lot of other things...not some stranger who does it for a living and over charges! If i were rich i would buy a house and travel the world with my hubby...then I'd come home and start a family and know that their school and life would all be taken care of. those platinum weddings are the same as ours if you ask me....i have seen the reviews on these boards..they ain't go nothing on us...LOL

no question. i would still have the moderate wedding and spend more on a house and future. if i did have more to spend on the wedding though i would also have a band and DJ, and since mines a sunday afternoon wedding i would spend more on the after party. I really want to rent out a bar type atmospher and decorate it as a NYC upscale club with the lighting and all and mini gormet foods. I saw that once on platinum weddings. I would also pay for BM dresses, and the hotel rooms for all my guests (all are OOT). oo and a better honeymoon. ugh i want a lot

i would definitely use it on a house.... a wedding is only one day... but the house can last for years and its a good investment....

i definitely think that most of those weddings are just ridiculous excess. I can have whatever i want now & wouldnt do it. I definitely think i would take that extra money & save it for our old age or purchase our third home perferrably in the Italian Riviera!
I second this!!

If I had unlimited funds I would not have the DIY projects....invitations, unity candle...etc... I would just spend the money and have someone else do it but, still at a low cost. I'd upgrade on my DJ package and HM but, make sure I still had enough money to get the house of my dreams.
