What is one of your favorite summertime memories? (To waken up this sleepy Tuesday with some nostalgia.)
7 years ago, FH and I moved to NY so I could be closer to my family. I am from Queens originally, but FH has never lived anywhere near the ocean. So, the first time we went to the beach was pretty special. He was like a big kid. It was nighttime (because we both dislike crowds) and not terribly hot or muggy. We just hung out, drinking coffee and smoking cigars on the boardwalk, listening to the ocean. It was wonderful to see it through fresh eyes. I always took the beach for granted, but he got such a big kick out of it.
