Why did you pick you wedding date?

I picked mine cause we like the number how they are flowing and we wanted spring no too hot not too cold :0)

We knew we wanted a fall wedding because neither of us are very fond of the heat (especially me) or the cold. We thought about spring, but we knew we needed to have a decent amount of time to save up for the wedding (we got engaged in December). So we went to venues saying September or October.

When we found our venue, we realized Septmember was the perfect month - it should (hopefully - LI weather is notoriously unpredictable as you all know!!!) still be warm but not HOT. And the vines will be full and hopefully we'll get some nice fall colors :)

We knew we were going with a winter wedding so we immediately thought January. We chose the 18th because it was a holiday weekend and we knew we would have a fairly decent amount of OOT guests. We chose 2014 because I am not a fan of odd numbers.

OMG I thought I was the only one! Lol. I was so excited to get married in an even numbered year. I always wanted a Fall wedding because its my favorite season. We originally wanted September but there were no Fridays in September left by the time we were ready to book so we took the next available Friday. We went with a Friday because we got a better quote from the venue and could stretch our budget further.
