QOTD--8/10/08

Here it is: my first official QOTD post!!!

I decided to start off my QOTD's in a wedding related tone, but I will also try to incorporate non-wedding related questions too.

So, here I go!

What was the vision you had for your wedding, even BEFORE you got engaged? Does it match what you are doing/planning now?

I always wanted a very SIMPLE wedding overseas or on a beach. I wanted something really low-key and small and intimate. Now, I am doing almost the complete opposite--almost a Big, Fat, Greek Wedding you can say. But I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

no I actually wanted a beach or a destination wedding just to be non traditional....

times have changed now so it will be traditional all the way....i tried to think out of the box

I wanted a big, fat Italian wedding - we're doing something small and intimate though and I couldn't be happier about it. Makes me smile knowign everyone at the wedding knows something about us as a couple.

I absolutely LOVE that!!! I think it makes it so special when you can identify every single person at your wedding and you have spent some significant time with them as a couple.

I kept on changing things....like origially I wanted a light green for my colors and thne changed it to red b/c it just made sense. We are very traditional and romantic so red just made soo much more sense. I also changed my wedding song a few times but finally found the one that I love

I changed to red too!!! Do you have any accent colors? we can share ideas!!

As far as the type of wedding we are having.. the idea is 100% still as I invisioned it- its big, yet I am a very detqailed orientated person and we have tried to keep it intimate as possible by adding details (which are in the owrks)...

as far as colors and such, I had no idea what I wanted- I always thought that I wanted pale yellow as my bridesmaid dresses- we are with graphite though...which is grayish

Oh also, I thought I wanted an october/ late fall wedding... we are with Spring and I couldnt be happier!

Its funny how things work out and Im trying to roll with the punches and loving every second now!

You should try to incorporate BBQ in someway at your wedding. Maybe have a BBQ station at your CH?

We started out wanting a very small and intimate dinner party, no DJ, no photog...don't know how it morphed, but now we're doing a full-blown wedding! Luckily we were able to stick to our guns on keeping the size small so we're still under 100 ppl and I purposely booked a room that cannot hold over 100 just to keep us grounded!

actual wedding - super romantic - rose and white colors, lots of mirrors/glass/candles
