Here it is: my first official QOTD post!!!

I decided to start off my QOTD's in a wedding related tone, but I will also try to incorporate non-wedding related questions too.

So, here I go!

What was the vision you had for your wedding, even BEFORE you got engaged? Does it match what you are doing/planning now?

I always wanted a very SIMPLE wedding overseas or on a beach. I wanted something really low-key and small and intimate. Now, I am doing almost the complete opposite--almost a Big, Fat, Greek Wedding you can say. But I wouldn't have it any other way!!!

I am not one of your typical Monica from Friends type girls so I never really had too may preconceived ideas about the wedding day.

Vision before - something different, incorporating some of the Chinese traditions even though I'm Italian.

Actual Plans - pretty much the same.

i've always wanted it to be on the beach w/ lots of palm trees and starfish and lots of sunflowers

reality im getting married very close to the beach, w/ palm trees inside the cocktail hour, and there will lots of sunflowers

so i guess my dreams are gonna come true

I always wanted a fairy tale wedding... now its elegant and simple but at least 200 people... we have big families.....incoroprating our Italian hertiage into it a lil too... totally opposite of what I dreamed

FH & I wanted a destination wedding at first with just immediate family etc. But since both his grandmothers which he is close to are now in the 90's it would have been hard. So we are havng teh big LI,NY wedding. Which we ar enow super excited about. I never thought i would be but i so am!

I really had no idea what i wanted. I just started looking throuhg magazines for colors i liked and it all worked out from there!

I really like the diversity in answers here!!!

I think that no matter what we envisioned or initially hoped for, that our wedding days will be 100 times better and more beautiful!!
