What has been challenging for you in the planning process? Has anything surprised you?
Once I got engaged I didn't know where to start but I did know I had to pick a hall. I was a little surprised how much work planning has been.
I think finding a hall was the first challenge for me. I had a list of things I was looking for and was trying to find a venue that came close to the things on my list.
My next challenge was my dress. After trying on over 30 dresses I finally found one.
I think my next challenge will be to tackle the guest list and all the other wedding details I need to think about from the list. Thank you Kelly Anne (2013 Bride) for the list.

I've been having trouble finding balance between work, home, and wedding planning. Often I get too caught up in planning and fall behind in work or chores around the house. Now that most of my stuff is done, it should be easier to find balance again.

It hasn't been that challenging yet (I still have quite a way to go). But I'm surprised at how much I agonize over the tiniest details that normally wouldn't get any of my attention. Like on the invitations, I have gone back and forth for a while on whether or not to put FH's middle name lol. And forget about whether or not I want to get personalized postage. I'm amazed that I'm actually stressing over stuff like this.

I don't really think it's been too challenging. But I will say I do get too caught up in it at times and I need to make sure I'm paying the most attention to PEOPLE instead of planning.

Our first real challenge was finding a hall. We visited 13 and I was feeling extremely defeated.
Our challenge now is between FH and I. We are having trouble deciding on color palette and its frustrating!

All the actaully details for the day of. like timing, must have pictures, trying to organize our family in terms of when they need to arrive, where we are getting ready beforehand, having one limo or two, when / where well do our first look....... Everything hasnt been too bad - I try not to stress about other things, once I see something I like I stop looking.

Nothing has really been a challenge up until now. Starting to look for dresses and I am just so underwhelmed by everything. This is gonna be a real project thats for sure!
I think I'm a little surprised how fast and easy it was to book all the vendors we chose.

Most challenging would probably be stressing over the fact that little by little, my guest list is starting to climb. It is a very subtle climb, but I am definitely starting to freak out.
I am most surprised with how picky my FH has been with all the little details. We went through 3 websites of STD magnets before we finally found one we agreed on, but mostly it consisted of:
Me: What about this? FH: Eh. Me: You like this one? FH: Not really.
I showed him a picture of the CPs I liked that fit into our budget, and at the last minute he was like 'It's okay, I guess. That's the general idea of what I would like.'
As much as it is a surprise, it is a pleasant surprise. I am happy he is taking some part in the planning. It makes me feel like he is excited, too. So, I would rather him be picky than completely lax.
