Morning ladies!!! Happy Thursday!!!

FMIL wanted FH and I to take a vacation in Feb 2010 to London . We said no because (1) We couldn’t afford it and (2) We were considering it for our honeymoon.

Once you've picked out your HM spot, would you go on vacation there before your HM

I think FMIL was upset that we didn't want to go but I thought it would be weird to go there 5 months before with his family. I really wanted to experience it for the first time with FH

no way. especially if its a big trip like that. we are doing a cruise and neither of us have been to any of the ports involved. but b4 and after we are stopping in FLL (ive been there before) and LAX (we've both been there before)...but in those towns, we plan to do/see stuff we havent done before.

so, no, i wouldnt want to do the touristy stuff with his fam and then go back and do what? at that point you might as well just go lie on a beach somewhere....

No!!! I guess because I want to go to a place I have not been before for my HM. It makes it more romantic and exciting.

I have been to one of our HM stops (Paris), but FH hasn't. I went when I was 16, so I don't remember too much of it, but I've always wanted to go back. Now, knowing that we're going, I definitely wouldn't go so close to the HM.

Nope, our HM is supposed to be a special destination for us. If we go before the HM then it just takes it all away and makes it just another vacation.
