This summer I went to 3 weddings. I was surprised to see that each one had some kind of perfomance done by family, friends, or the bride and groom themselves. At the first wedding the bridal party preformed two dances. At the second one, the bride and groom performed a 'ball room' style dance in addition to their first dance. Finally, at the thrid wedding, the bride's father and sister each sang a song.
Are you planning on having any kind of performance at your wedding? If not, can you share any performances that you've seen
So far, we haven't planned anything for ours but I hope that we will take dance lessons so that we have a really nice first dance. I'm not sure if I would plan anything else but if I do I would make sure it doesn't interfere with partying time...I woud schedule it for when everyone is in their seats eating

Dance lessons here too. I'm still debating on whether we should choreograph or not. We also have a band, I *guess* you could consider that a performance????

One of FH's younger cousins who I looooove has danced beautiful Indian dances at other people's weddings - we might ask her to do that at our's. Or...if I can get the balls to...I might ask her to teach me and I'll join in!

no performances here - it's going to be hard enough not to have an anxiety attack as it is!

We want to have a choreographed first dance or a fast paced dance - may have to change into a different dress to do it though.
But I've been to a Pakistani wedding and the groom's family invited a famous singer from their country to sing at their wedding... while the bride's sisters and the bride danced Bollywood. It was very cool.
Another wedding...a friend who is a pretty good vocalist borrowed the mic and belted one out. It was fun.
