Awesome answers ladies! I loved seeing some more pictures for inspiration!

Todays question is about the FH's

How did you choose your wedding theme / colors and how involved has your FH been in the planning process?

For me - we started out with our two favorite colors Purple and his - green... and somehow over time I sorta took over and drove the wedding to a more feminine and romantic feel. My FH and I have a '3 options rule' which means i narrow everything down to three options and then he picks from that... he always gives his opinions on all of my DIYs and sometimes even makes suggestions... I tried to incorporate things he likes into the wedding too - things like the wax seal and a feather pen which I know he loves!

For today - lets include pictures of the FHs!

Ever since I was little I've always wanted Yellow dresses for my bridesmaids at our wedding. So basically I was looking at which color options would go good with the yellow based on which flowers are around. We ultimately decided on yellow/orange to have a very bright and fun late summer wedding.

Basically I have decided on all the vendors we're going to see, and I have done the research. When we met with the vendor I would then give him say on his favorite. He really loved one DJ we met with so I told him he could pick that. Other than that, we would discuss our options who we liked the most and decided. The only thing we didn't agree 100% was the venue, but when I explained the one thing I didn't like about his first choice, he agreed with me and didn't have a problem settling on the one we picked.

Edited to try to add a picture, but it's not working and idk why

Well in case you didn't realize FH and I are huge Mets fans. We decided to incorporate the Mets I to our wedding. We are not doing a completely Mets wedding but we are usingthe blue and orange and bringing in other colors for the flowers so it is not over the top. Bridesmaid dresses will be blue.

FH and I got engaged in Hawaii and I wanted to bring that into the wedding so we will be using some of the flowers that are common in Hawaii for our wedding flowers and the colors - the pinks and the oranges. I always wanted chocolate brown dresses for my BMs, which go really well with pink and orange.

My favorite color is yellow and FH's is red, but I was worried it might look to McDonalds, so we added the black and white to give it a more modern, punchy feel.

I do all of the leg-work (researching vendors, making appointments, etc.) but FH has been to all of the vendor appointments except Florist. He is actually more into the DIY than I am (he's an artist).

I'm not going to post a pic of us here (stalkers) but FM me if you want a link to his old website. He is in the process of updating, but you can see a pic of him and some of his older artwork.

Our colors were chosen by our date...I always liked the idea of a winter wedding- but not Christmas, or Valentine's day theme...I think navy & white fit everything about my wedding

FH is a bit more involved than I thought he'd be- he comes with me to any appointment I ask him to- he gives his opinion on what he wants/ does not want, etc---he's quite helpful!

FH and I are huge New York Islanders fans.....we actually met because of a NY Islanders game on TV at a bar.......So it was only fitting that we are having an orange and blue wedding........ I love how it is a reflection of how we met..........

Our wedding colors are blue and yellow, I love the combo together and blue was my moms fave color and yellow my dads, so its special to me.
Our theme is we're going for the rusitc look, I always loved this and also FH is a country music fan so it fit!
FH is I say just the right amount of involved. I do all the research on vendors, making appointments, etc. but he comes to every meeting and then we discuss together who we want to work with. He doesn't care too much for the little details and kind of lets me do whatever I want on that.

I asked FH if he'd thought of any color he'd like to have or what the theme would be and he mentioned he'd always liked the color blue. Originally I had thought purple, but since we were engaged on the beach in Aruba we thought it was only fitting to have a beach themed wedding with blue as the main color.

I do most of the research and make the appointments with vendors, but he is always right with me to make the decisions. He adds his input and tells me what he likes and doesn't like. He can't look at a zillion things like I can, I have to narrow down my picks before showing them to him. He's more than willing to go to all meetings and look at anything I want.

Navy and White are FH’s fave colors and since we love Lighthouses we decided to go with those colors and go with a Lighthouse theme. Except I just got my dress and its Ivory, wasn’t happy about that but Navy and Ivory can still be nautical.

FH has been very involved in the whole process.

Our colors are Navy and White. I decided to go with soft pastel flowers to complement the dark Navy plus it is also the weekend before Easter. FH is equally a part of planning as I am.

FH didnt care what colors we chose, so I made that decision. I love black and white, and wanted a POP of summer color, so that is generally what I am using. Our flowers are all brights - fun and cheery! My BM dresses are Watermelon/Fuschia and are light and dreamy w organza overlay.

He came to meet the Photographers, DJ's,and Rabbi. After that, he really didnt express interest in meeting vendors, and since I am a total type A, it was fine w me.

I think it works out better that he is not a groomzilla, nor does he have any opinions to sway me. lol

We actually haven't picked our colors yet. I know I'm doing black BM dresses but I doubt FH will care about what colors we go with. I know I want a a romantic/elegant tone to the night of the wedding, so I know the colors we go with will have to reflect that overall feel.

ETA: FH has been extremely helpful with the planning. He comes to all the meetings, calls to make appointments, etc. Just wish he'd sometimes take more initiative to do things on his own.

I knew right away that I wanted navy blue BM dresses and I was always drawn to images of navy/pink together. then I stumbled upon pictures of pink peonies

FH has been great. he trusts my opinion on everything but he always has input to every decision too. lately he's been even more involved and it's awesome to see how excited he's getting about everything (Even tux shopping!)

I knew I wanted pink and FH said he would let me have pink if we can incorporate Grey! i said Deal!!!! and we are adding some soft yellow colors to make it pop a little.

FH has been very involved in the wedding planning. I did all the research of vendors and he came along to all the meetings. so far we have both agreed on all our vendors and are very happy with our decision.

Once FH and I settled on December, we decided almost immediately that we did NOT want the whole red and green Christmas-y theme that one might think of when they hear December. We are going with brown and cream, or some combination of brown, gold, light brown, cream. Once we decide on a BM dress(es) , I’ll look at the color choices and pick some sort of combo. We want a warm, classy, elegant feel with a lot of white and crystal décor.

FH has been really involved in our planning and I’m glad! He’s so efficient and really knows how to talk to the vendors and help me negotiate bc that is NOT my area of strength. I’ve done all the research and make all the appointments. We usually see about 3 vendors in each category and make a decision from there. So far it’s been great and we have agreed on most of the details so far!

we just both love the color blue so it was a no brainer for us. FH has actually been VERY involved in the plannin, so much that he's been fighting his case that he wants to be with me to go dress shopping lol

I really wanted a winter wedding so since we are getting married in February we did not want a Valentine's day wedding because we are getting married on the 11th right before Valentine's day. So we picked ivory , silver and jade because I love blue and he loves green so we compriomised and went with a blueish green, FH is equally invovled with the planning.

I picked the wedding colors-purple(my favorite) & silver. I didn't really give FH a choice but he was ok with it. When it comes to all other decisions FH has been pretty involved-I think he tunes me out sometimes though lol. I haven't made any final decisions without his ok & he has actually thrown some ideas out that were pretty good.
